“Lovely meal with friends on a Saturday night. Food was great and I've never met a waiter more passionate about the food they have on offer. The restaurant was empty apart from us which I wouldn't normally take as a good sign, but there was a never ending stream of deliveroo, just eat and uber delivery drivers while we were there so they are fmdeffinitely doing things right, albeit to more modern market perhaps? I think if more people knew about this restaurant (perhaps through positive reviews like this), the ambience woukd be better, but as a group were happy to have our own section of the restaurant to sit in. At the end of the meal we didn't have room for desert, but the waiter insisted on bringing out a free sample of a desert he and the chef had been working on which is an authentic Indian desert based on spiced carrot served with ice cream. Trepidation ensued as this sounded like a bit of a strange combination, but when tasted it was absolutely delicious; tasted like carrot cake when combined with the spiced vanilla ice cream - this was a really nice touch that left us with a 'we will definitely eat here again' opinion. Overall a lovely meal; highly recommended if you don't mind a restaurant with limited ambience.”
