The person at the counter forced me to pay twice for the petrol, embarrassed me , wasted my time and the whole experience was rather threatening… I have since disputed the transaction with the bank & made an official complain to Shell. I will strongly discourage everyone from using this place and to check your bank account details after any purchase since they are stealing money from their customers.

Always refusing to make coffee night time. Can you guys just put up a sign saying you don't serve coffee during the night. I'm a taxi driver I really felt like I needed a coffee so I stopped filled up my tank but was refused coffee. Even though I could see the machine is one and with the coffee selection on the screen the person lied to me saying that it's being cleaned witch was a lie. This is not the first time when it's happening.

Arrrival welcoming. Caroline always a pleasure. Elaine absolutely amazing , Jithin always so pleasant, Sarah and Sam night staff so helpful. I always find restaurant staff including Chloe always so ready to help with any request, Working away from home it’s so nice to find such friendliness and warmth from all staff

Just stopped at services next to this hotel and their toilet facilities were broken so we tried to use them at this hotel next door . We weren't even allowed into the hotel and the guy was laughing at us when he said we couldn't use their facilities . Never been treated so bad and certainly wouldn't use their hotel in future

We visited this hotel in October with a coach tour organised by G-Line. We had an enjoyable stay until we went to the hotel spa. We spent ten minutes in the jacuzzi after which we found out that our swimming costume and shorts had been bleached and turn from green to pink. We showed the evidence to the spa manager, James, who was "a waste of space" and seemed to think that it was acceptable to have ruined clothing and skin irritation. We then contacted the general manager, Daniel, who said that he accepted full responsibilty and would refund monies for the costumes. This was four weeks' ago and we are STILL waiting. It is a shame because other staff: Darrel and Elaine, were very good. Daniel has said in writing that "as a matter of good will" we would get £50. He is constantly out of the office. We would not go back. This is a great shame.

This hotel used to be great but now it is so poor. There must be some kind of conference going on as the place was fully booked with foreign delegates. I formed the impression that many guests were unhappy with accommodation and food. I was quite amazed that some had even claimed on the roof and staged a rooftop protest . IHG hotels really need to do much better as it shows the brand in a bad light . I will not stay here again

This hotel is so good as it’s impossible to book a room ?? Must be a unique experience especially as the car park is always empty ?? Also looks like the ‘maintenance team’ is struggling to keep up… Luckily, there are ‘shopping facilities’ within walking distance ?

I am writting this message now crying with two young and very disappointed, crying children. I am a single mum, who managed to save a hotel stay for the Queen's Jubilee weekend, next week. We paid the money several months ago. First I booked with Bookings.com then through another site as first one had been cancelled. Several months after paying for the hotel through the second site, just 4 days before our holiday I got an email stating that it has been cancelled by you as it is overbooked. A few weeks ago I even called your head office and I was told that I had an eixting booking! No mention of any overbooking or cancellation.Now it is cancelled and I won't even get my money back before the end of my planned holiday. How dare are you?????? Taking people's money then cancelling at the last minutes. Poor children and poor me, as a single mum who cannot rely on anyone and we have gone through so much bad things in life and now our holiday has been ruined, too! How can we book another hotel now, it's too late!! Message states that you overbooked, I am sure you did it on purpose. I will call the head office tomorrow, we are so so disappointed. You used our money for so many months and cancelled just 4 days before, am not wondering why Bookings.com stopped cooperating with you!!!

The petrol station staff are all very friendly but can be very busy in the mornings with selfish people parking at the pumps then going to Greggs for food instead of moving to the carpark spaces, but its Stoke On Trent so expected.

Only stayed here for a night, it was ok, did what it needed to do, reasonable value. It was a stay of convenience, rather than one of luxury. Easy access location wise to a number of scenic places to visit
