I have been searching high and low for a new takeaway since moving to Colchester and have been so disappointed… but not anymore! Shrub end has won us over! I have only ordered a hand full of times but every single time they have blown us away! Amazing food and the lady behind the counter is always giving good service and helpful! Would highly recommend anyone order from here, the kung po chicken was so tasty! Didn’t come with lots of veg just lots of chicken!! Easily the best takeaway place in Colchester!

The rude individual behind the counter completely ignored us and then answered the phone even though we were standing waiting to be served at the counter quite blatantly waiting to order.Eventually placed the order, and went to pay and it's cash only... seriously!!!After a long day, I did not need this negativity in my life.So there's no take-away from here and tbf I probably won't return after the appalling customer service.

Tried multiple options on their menu, food is very average not much taste, worst satay sauce I've ever experienced aswell.They need to start using card payments otherwise customers will go somewhere that do.

Busy Friday night as usual. But as always good service followed by good food.
I had a worst ever customer service experience with this lady on 10 Mar 23 @ 2015 hrs. She just ignored my request to repeat my order to confirm on the phone. Well done on losing one of your loyal customer which you don’t value. You will not be getting any recommendations to my friends and families any more.

I’m regular customer but not anymore. Ordered few menus on Friday evening and delivered wrong. Clearly miscommunication. Very pricy and lacking quality food. Definitely not going back anymore.
