Stayed as a party of 8, 2 nights, 3 rounds of golf. Golf course's lovely as always, food great, especially a massive breakfast that keeps you going through the day. Staff we encountered superb and always friendly, especially in the restaurant and room cleaning staff, one bar staff member a bit frosty on day one. ( but we all have days like that). We rented a lodge for a family get together for a week. The lodges were a delight on the most part. Nice modern open rooms - bit light in some equipment. Not really set for cooking for six - small pans. No way of making a cooked breakfast for six. Perhaps I expect too much. Biggest disappointment was an evening meal in the stark, lacking in character, golf clubhouse restaurant. It took 30 minutes to take our food order. Was maybe an hour from arriving that we saw food. Stayed at the hotel as part of a golf group in June 2022. Spacious rooms and excellent food. Golf courses are set up for societies using buggies. Long walks between holes and not many feature holes. For some unknown reason the hotel has retained £50 on my credit card several weeks after our stay. Tried to contact by email and telephone but no response. Not happy.
