Lovely vibe and good selection of food. Lunch was delicious and bread was fresh but there were a few issues…I was surprised to find my vegan sandwich came with non vegan coleslaw and my son’s cake had been wrapped so tight in cling film and looked really unappetising unwrapped and sort of fell apart all over his plate as the lady served it! I am told the Victoria sponge is very dry from one of our other guests. What upset our trip most is that the older lady with dark brown hair who served us at the till was so very unfriendly. She left us waiting unacknowledged for a while, wasn’t warm in her tone, didn’t give any hint at a smile at either me or the children and kept disappearing whilst serving our food to tell other staff what to do and end to end our cake order took 11 minutes (no queue) which is pretty unacceptable! We’d been here a few times previously and had specifically gone back for the cakes and lovely atmosphere and sadly it will be the last time.

This place could be amazing, being a beautiful location and beautiful building. But the food is now very poor, ordered a Brie and cranberry panini. It came in a cheap panini with about a tub of cranberry sauce which made it difficult to eat. I have also had a breakfast which came with cheap sausages and other ingredients you can only have scrambled or fried egg no poached? It’s a real shame they’ve taken their eyes off the ball.

Love these Tearooms. I am currently visiting from Australia and staying with my mum in Blackmore. Good coffee and food. Good value. I grew up in Blackmore and many years ago, the building was a grocery store. It is a beautiful old building with lots of character.

Nice place to get morning coffee, staff are friendly and some even get to know how you like your coffee such as Katie who normally knows how much sugar I have and they make lovely homemade cakes thanks.

Nice little cafe, the only thing letting this place down is the cheap ingredients and the chef unfortunately. We've tried it three times now and it's disappointed every time.
