First time visit to this pub for lunch with a friend, not disappointed.Excellant service from start to finish, very friendly and welcoming. Huge menu to choose from. Lovely food, maybe some items a bit pricey but I'm used to Norfolk prices!Accommodating for gluten free. Recommend the roast but its not on the review list. Can't fault, will be back.Dietary restrictions: Helpful wirh gluten free.

Arrived and was greeted with a warm welcome. After a long journey it was nice to just to relax on site. Both female staff were very friendly and even offered to post a letter for me. Good food too.

We found this little gem at least 6yrs ago by shear chance. Travelling from stanstead, infact the end of the runway is at the back of the beer garden which is a total suntrap in the summer. Now this is our little haunt everytime we travel in the winter months. considering we r from Up North (Middlesbrough). Absolutley beautiful village setting, staff are so helpful. There is a bar (With woodburner) , a restaurant and beer garden. Food is amazing, big portions, never had a bad meal yet. Plenty of carparking spaces. They also have rooms to stay if your staying over before yr flight the next day and its literally 5mins drive to the airport.

Lovely pub, very welcoming. Great bar and waiting staff. Food was reasonable value but that was reflected in the (cheap) ingredients. Ok, but nothing to write home about and wouldn't make a special effort to visit again because of that.

We met family at this lovely little pub/restaurant today for a Christmas gathering. Food was amazing, great sized portions and freshly cooked. The server was attentive and friendly and did his utmost to not be intrusive. This is a great meeting place for us as it is equidistant, warm and welcoming, great sized car park and outdoor space (summertime) and proper home cooked meals on the menu. We weren’t rushed in any way and we all thoroughly enjoyed our leisurely lunch.

Lovely thatched roof real country pub with good food, enjoyable banter with local regulars and friendly service.Parking: Ample parking in the forecourt. May get busy in the summer as within a short drive of Stansted Airport.
