I visited the swan with my family & I honestly say what a terrible night. Where do I start, restaurant completely empty, run out of fish & chips, run of ketchup & then said they had found some, that was 7 months out of date (only discovered after we had eaten it)!! We complained at the end of the meal to I think the owner/landlady who said she was going to look into & never even bothered to come back. Asked for the bill & they charged us full price for everything. Steer clear of the utter dump if you don’t want food poisoning!!!

Well I was in the area for work. Met Pete the head chef and Tyler the barman and was made to feel welcome. Pete talked through the menu and my friend and I went for the sword fish special and my friend the chicken flat bread. Absolutely delicious. A little gem of a place.

Tastiest food and the warmest welcome.It is wonderful to have this as our local. Such a good choice of food for everyone. A good selection of beer and wine, with either a cosy bar area to sit in or a lovely welcoming restaurant to eat. Highly recommend.

Once again I have come here with my family today and had THE most incredible food….I usually come here with my partner for a drink and a laugh and the events here never disappoint!…have to say I don’t understand some of the comments on this page because my experience has always been nothing short of perfect? But I guess you can’t please everyone, some people love to moan…this place is family friendly (obviously take your child home at a reasonable time? goes without saying?) but generally, lovely staff, amazing food, awesome atmosphere and somewhere I hope me and my family can always enjoy!!

Visited the Wednesday just gone. Weather was terrible whilst we was waiting to pick someone up from the airport bus stop, popped in for a drink and thought we’d take a look at the menu. Would really recommend the small plates, we had 4 of them and they filled us right up. Was slightly disappointed that the scallops was unavailable but the chef made us it with prawns instead. Service was quick and efficient, wasn’t too busy and food came out promptly. All in all would definitely visit if passing the area, especially if they had the specials on the bar woman was describing. Also, looks a lot better then the pictures on here so definitely give it a try.

New to the village, we’re pleased to have found a family friendly local. We were very well accommodated on a last minute meal with children and dog in tow, nothing was too much trouble for the staff as we requested a high chair for my daughter and two staff returned with this and water and treats for the dog too! Our server was very friendly and well informed about the menu, which is extensive. My partner and I opted for a selection of starters which were all incredibly generous in size! Not sure we’d have managed mains too. A lovely midweek treat and we’ll certainly be returning.

Worst meal I have had in a very long time - the meat in my salad had been practically cremated and soft drink completely flat. It’s a shame as the place could be great - it certainly used to be! The service was friendly enough but half the menu was unavailable - no fish, no steak (although advertised online) and no pizza. Left little choice for a hungry family with kids who left disappointed - we won’t be back in a rush!
