I really hate to leave bad reviews, and I’m not one for this but me and my friends had booked for our get together meal, the service was ok, our table wasn’t ready at the time of the booking, and the food wasn’t to our standard very overcooked, missing things I’m not to sure if lack of communication due to how loud it was , and we approached our waitress for concerns and she was quite dismissive, and I could see the waitress approach I presume was the manger/owner called Hayley and she looked over gave me the most disgusting look like she was better than us and then the with the bar girls and she laughed and smirked, me and my friends felt so uncomfortable, there was so many drunk people very rowdy that you can clearly see people was on some sort of illegal substance , this is not the establishment that it comes across, I’m very disappointed, as we did try and do the right thing by raising our concerns, but the owner Hayley was more concerned being all over guys at the bar not just one a few I just feel this approach just looks unprofessional and they just had an overall attitude, and still had the cheek to put a discretionary tip on.

Sat lunchtime , I checked the opening time. Mid day, so arranged to meet friends there. Arrived after 12 . Door open no lights on but sounds from the kitchen, shouted, then hollered third time . Eventually someone appeared and looked shocked to see us . I asked if they were open as the web site etc said they were open at 12 . She said no they weren't , they had just had a delivery ??? I pointed out that the open door suggested they were, but that apparently was a mistake. I asked how long before they would be open thinking she might say sit down and have a look at the menu and put the lights on . But instead she said 15/ 20 mins without a lot of confidence and seemed a bit flustered. Not much point opening late on a wet Saturday if you can't keep to your published opening times. We weren't prepared to hang around in the rain for 20 mins so went across the road to the Hungry Bedoin. Plus of course parking is restricted to 2 hours. Disappointed because previously I had enjoyed the food here and wanted to take my cocktail loving friends .

Excellent cocktails in a lovely clean cool environment, great service and advice from Poppy and Ashley. By far the best bar in Frinton-on-Sea *****

This was our first time to visit Arnies with our children. The staff were so lovely, the food was the best I have eaten in a long while. The starters were absolutely amazing. The atmosphere and music was fab and the decor was gorgeous. Could not recommend this place enough. Will definitely return :)

Really beautiful setting and the main course (I had a halloumi burger) was tasty but the service was really bad - it took an hour and 15 minutes for our starters to come, we ordered three beers and a cocktail - two beers came straight away, one we waited 25 minutes for and the cocktail when it eventually arrived was wrong. The staff generally seemed disorganised; for example we were asked if we wanted to order our main course, we said yes, and the waitress then said she’ll go and get the notepad but then proceeded to serve drinks to another table and we waited another ten minutes before she returned. Our starters were also not served at the same time. Whilst this was addressed during our meal, I just wouldn’t expect to eat at different times to our party. The starters were also average - the beef of the beef rolls looked suspiciously like beef you would buy in a supermarket for a sandwich. I understand running a small business has challenges (the service did improve when we had a slight moan) but at prices such as these (c£17-£30 for a main course), it simply needs to be better. I would consider coming back here for a drink, but probably not food.

Beautiful restaurant. Went with my wife as a treat when the in-laws said they would have the kids. Decided to go back the next night and take the in-laws and kids with us. Food and cocktails were special. Support your local restaurant as sometimes the best place is right on your doorstep!

Wow!!!!! The food was AMAZING! As a couple we had lots to talk about but all we could talk about was how amazing the food was. Service was A* and the drinks were just as good as the food! Can’t recommend enough!!!! We will be back!!!!

Had a reunion at Arnies on Sat pm... with a friend who lives in Clacton, but said this was the best place to eat..ie no decent eateries in Clacton !! What a night...we were seated by the bar with the rowdiest bunch of customers drinking at the bar. The noise was intolerable, and the loud swearing was so much worse. The serving staff were good and efficient, the food was OK, but the prices were very high...despite a very kind complaint we were never offered a quieter table. At almost £200 for 4 people, ( 4 mains and 2 starters plus a bottle of wine ), this was not a great experience, unfortunately. I think they should decide to either be a cocktail bar or a restaurant but not both !!! The lovely owner/manager said " Hospitality is bad, so I have to take all the customers I can get... rowdy or not "

Me and the Mrs went to celebrate a special occasion, we searched them up on Instagram to get more information, and the photos showed decent food that we would eat. So we decided to book a table and eat in there but when we got there they did not have any food that was on their Instagram and they had a completely different menu and the stuff we wanted they didn’t have and most of the food was just fish. So we had to go get a McDonald’s as everywhere else was fully booked around the area and stopped serving food by 8:30…not happy as menu is completely different and much smaller than what it states in their website! And no where on their website or instagram stated that the menu had been changed.

Visited last night (Sat 18/2/23) with friends, having heard positive feedback. The venue is very modern and Instagramable (is that even a word ?). Had a number of cocktails each (maybe too many), with a server called Zoe recommending some… They were all excellent. My wife loved the one with the candy floss on top. Food menu was different to what we saw on line before going, however it was a vast selection of smaller plates to order from. These were great as the four of us could try so many dishes. The Mini T-Bone with mash was lovely, as was the Lobster Pasta Special. All in all not the cheapest of nights out (worked out £100 a head) - But I must stress we did order a lot of dishes and also a lot of drinks, wine and cocktails. Cocktails were roughly £10 each and smaller plates averaged £8-£15. We all had a very enjoyable visit and hats off to the chef and all front of house team who were great! Enjoy People!!! ??
