We were not disappointed, the food is first class and lives up to the claim of best Indian in Essex. Service was good and we didn't feel rushed at all.We will be going back as we have found our new favourite Indian ?

Absolutely best curry house around, food is delicious, very authentic and the chicken tikka is to die for, can't fault the service or anything else with this restaurant, keep up the great work.

So dissatisfied and disappointed. Family here from USA where they miss the English Indian restaurants they were use to in the Romford/Hornchurch area. Onion bargi’s supposedly award winning. More like the size of golf balls. Not very nice. Chicken tikka masala very red in colour with no creamy taste. Jalfazi was dry and could not see any signs of bell peppers in it. Gutted as this restaurant had very good reviews. Had I been told different would have tried others in the area. After complaining was given discount.

This place is horrible. To start the evening off, our menus had a dead fly stuck to the inside aswell as sauce all over them. Next there was pieces of plastic floating in our water. The food was mediocre. Service was ok however we were charged for poppadoms when they offered them to us as we thought they where complimentary?. the floor was sticky and bathrooms where disgusting. Overall, no a pleasant experience.

Delicious curry!!! Kind advice from the waiter who helped my friend find the perfect curry for her. Not unreasonably priced. Great atmosphere, lovely staff and wonderful food!!! Thanks :)

The staff did a great job setting up the conservatory for our party of 21 celebrating my wife's 60th birthday. They coped really well with the chaos and were very attentive, especially a young man named Kieran: very friendly and chatty. The food was excellent. We shall return!

One of the worst restaurant experiences ever. First, the waiter somehow forgot that we ordered starters. We've waited for an hour and only after asking again they realized they forgot us. He also forgot to bring us napkins and when he did after finishing the starters, mine was dirty.I ordered a simple dish, it was a chicken omelette with fries and peas. I never thought peas could be screwed up. See also picture... I think they were left for years in a freezer and then heated up in the microwave. At least it's how they looked like. Just disgusting. The omelet was dry and also the fries were squishy like they were heated in an oven.

Delicious food, great quality. Very polite waiters. We had coconut rice, mushroom rice, garlic naan, peshwari naan, chicken passanda, balti chicken tikka, fruit chicken, prawn puree and a mango lassi. All absolutely divine. Personally, I'd prefer a more decorated location with dimmer lights and music. Also upgraded toilets. I imagine that a takeaway is ideal from them. Best Indian food I've had in a long time. ?

Okay ordered Lamb Curry, pilau rice, ladies fingers and stuffed paratha. Lamb curry bit tough and covered in a bisto type sauce resembling no curry taste whatsoever. Pilau rice equalled plain rice with a bit of saffron. Ladies fingers obviously from a tin. Stuffed paratha two bits of uncooked dough with no stuffing!!! Price £20 plus takeaway Service fine. Packed in clean units. So overall service and price 6/10 Food taste and quality 2/10 So disappointed as with all the hype posted around the resturant thought I was in for a treat, sorry but thats how I viewed the experience .

Had a couple take away meals from British India including one last night. They have been absolutely delicious. Generous portions and fresh ingredients. The service from the lady and gent as you enter is brilliant. Very warm and friendly and they are great to chat to while Mum and I waited. Another amazing Independent business making Frinton awesome. Thank you British India.
