Ordered takeaway coffee, after 15 mins had to check up where they were - hadn't been done. Had to explain order about 5 times for 4 coffees. Only one person doing coffees and she was the one taking the money. Very poor service.

Amidst a lot of competition, this Cafe was a good find last year whilst on a short break. Staff hadn't changed on this visit, with Ian (who takes order, prepares and serves it) on duty, he struggles to cope on his own, same as last year. When over-run with customers the lady owner sometimes steps up to help. On his day off later in the week, two ladies did his job. A good selection on the menu, nicely presented and reasonably priced. I hope to visit again in the future, as it was nice to chat with the locals who frequent the venue.

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat whilst on our walk … absolutely shocking .. now after reading the reviews from 2020 they don’t seemed to have upped their game … If you have a dog .. it will get biscuits quicker than you’ll get any food … How it managed to get a 4 on a food hygiene certificate is beyond me …

Very nice hot chocolate, lovely apple and cinnamon cake and ginger cake. Nice chat with the very friendly staff. Much better than a number of the options in Frinton!
Walked in on one of the hottest day of the year and was greeted by a wonderful lady who suggested where to sit in order to get the best breeze. Ordered two sandwiches with ice cold drinks. Sandwiches where awesome! Fresh, quantity fillings and very tasty. Drinks where ice cold as request. Service was friendly, prompt and professional. So glad we found this exceptional cafe! Will definitely be returning. Can’t thank all at No14 for the welcome respite on a very hot day!
