“First time here and most impressed. We dined on a Saturday about 7pm, they were very busy but found us a table, the service was prompt, well organised and the food came out quite quickly. Everything from popadoms to main courses were delicious. Plates and serving dishes all nice and hot so for us slow eaters it kept everything fresh and warm. Brinjil Bahgee great. It was all excellent. Better than the Elmstead Spice we think. We look forward to our next meal there. Well done everyone.”

“Simply outstanding! Regularly use Star of India as a takeaway because everything from the food to person delivering the order is head and shoulders above and beyond any Indian restaurant I have ever eaten at - and this is the standard of their takeaway! I believe the restaurant has been temporarily closed due to covid, and am aware that the local residents are waiting with bated breath for it to re-open... I can understand why given the standard of the takeaway. My God what a find! A golden nugget by the beach in Frinton!”
