We visited the Red Lion on Christmas Day for lunch our first time of eating out for Christmas lunch, so slight trepidation, no need to worry each course was delicious. Service was excellent and a lovely festive atmosphere. We shall certainly be visiting again very soon.

We ate a late lunch here today. My husband had scampi and fries and pronounced both the best he's had in a long while. I had cod and chips. The chips were great. The batter on the cod however was very dark, bordering on burned but the fish inside was fine.Service friendly and good.Price reasonable.
I am so sorry to leave this review because all the people working there were absolutely lovely. However, the food was awful. Worst roast dinner I ever had in my life, uncooked, flavourless, chewy. Please change the cook and the business will pick up!!!
