Serving staff were nice but as for the food was very disappointed, my friend and I both had the Mezze , she had the chicken I had the vegan/vegetarian version , it was described as having mushrooms on a skewer , I had no mushrooms but did have one piece of onion, one piece of courgette, 2 pieces peppers. My friend asked the waitress about it and she came back with 1 mushroom on a separate plate , both these meals are charged at £12 so I think it's appalling that I had no mushrooms and then only one, also my skewer was very small in length compared to the meat version! Obviously this cafe isn't interested in serving up decent food for vegetarians and I will not be going again or recommending it to anyone else.Shame on you Cafe Sartoria

A third visit for us as a couple to Orsett hall for a one night break away. Excellent stay again. Lovely spa treatment and use of the pool, sauna, etc - very relaxing. Beautiful grounds. Amazing food and service in the restaurant in the evening (unfortunately there can be a lack of atmosphere in the restaurant as it is quiet when most of the guests are attending an event in one of the other rooms). Lovely breakfast in the morning - the plates need to be warmer though to keep the food hot! We stayed in one of the lodges outside the main building which was very nice. It was a little difficult to find as the room is not very well sign-posted. The rooms were very pleasant but the bedroom needed an extra curtain on one of the windows which only had a net curtain on it so the early morning sun woke us up too early.Also, unfortunately, the tv had terrible reception which made it very difficult to watch. I’m sure we will be back and next time we want to try the afternoon tea.

I came here to enjoy my birthday but instead left in horror and shock to find out I’ve been charged on my room bill. The overall stay wasn’t what I expected. I was told it would be a fantastic establishment turns out this was false.

I was fortunate to have received a gift for a stay at a particular hotel, inclusive of a spa treatment. My anticipation was high, given the positive remarks I had heard about the establishment. However, upon arrival, I was rather disappointed to discover that the initial room I was assigned was not up to the expected standards of cleanliness. The bedding appeared dusty, and the drapes were noticeably laden with dust particles. This situation was particularly concerning for me, given my preexisting asthma condition. Following my concern, the hotel staff promptly relocated me to an alternate room. I proceeded with my birthday festivities as planned, attempting to put the initial setback behind me. To my surprise, upon check-out, I received an email notification indicating an additional charge of £100 for the room, which I found unwarranted and unexpected. This unexpected charge and the initial cleanliness issues cast a shadow over what was meant to be a joyful birthday celebration. Consequently, my overall experience left me with a rather unfavorable impression, and I have no intention of returning to this particular establishment. I would advise others to exercise caution and consider alternative options when making accommodation choices to ensure a more enjoyable and hassle-free experience.

Good stay and comfortable rooms for a 2 day business meeting locally - breakfast could have started earlier to avoid a pile up in orders, but overall a very good stay - also the bar had to be re-opened after we returned to the hotel - but one of the assistants was very obliging to do so

We stayed in the Barnard suite, massive room, lovely decor, toiletries included Even toothbrush and paste! Spa facilities average but clean and friendly and very chilled Treatments were lovely Food was amazing both in taste and presentation Staff extremely helpful and friendly Would love to come back

I stayed for one night at Orsett Hall, I was very impressed with the beautiful scenery and landscape of the location. The room was cosy and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff are very helpful.
Nice setting. Rooms tastefully decorated and modern. Clean and tidy Breakfast tasty, and just the right amount of choice. Swimming pool was also nice, although you had to pay?!? I didn’t like that. I’m a guest, it should be included. This was a downfall for me. Food in general was nice… I’d return.

Good location , nice staff ! but hotels without water bottels in room ! one have to use tap water after such high cost compared to other nearby hotels ! I have enjoyed location and food This website asking me to tyoe over 200 .words is also crazy ! why I have to write long review ?

This was a gorgeous venue for a wedding, the rooms were nice and clean. We had a executive double and it was big enough for a family of 5. (Other than the toilet seat being slanted and feeling like your sitting in a slant the room was great) Air con in the room which was a blessing. The only blip was the lack of service at reception, there was no one sat at the desk at the time I needed them and no way to call them as the phone line dead. The hotel itself and its grounds are beautiful. The food was excellent. The staff were great especially those looking after the wedding party. All in all a great stay and fab wedding. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Been here a few times for brunch and lunch. Lovely place. Tastefully decorated. Good delicious food. Found the staff helpful and friendly. If you're in a hurry it's not the place to go this is not a criticism by the way. It's a place to catch up with friends and family and chill.It's a very relaxed atmosphere which I love. My last visit was about a month ago Taking my elderly mum there today for lunch
