We visited The Whitmore Arms on Saturday and I can’t recommend it enough. Food was absolutely amazing, delicious homemade food which you don’t get in many pubs these days. The staff were fantastic, made us feel at home, nothing was too much for them. My son wanted to help clear the glasses off our table, the staff made him feel like a little helper and he was extra pleased with the sweets they gave him. This is our local and we’ve always loved it. Food is tasty and the Specials menu changes weekly which gives for really good food options- this can’t be knocked. It is a shame however that the pub closes so early! And I mean very early. It was 9pm and felt like we were the last people left… because we practically were. Service of drinks was a little slow but it was busy, Roast was lovely potatoes were a little hard on outside. Side vegetables were disappointing seemed like frozen mix vegetables that were microwaved, they were different on previous visit.
