Had my first order from cook & 5 ⭐️ all the way lovely flavours in all the dishes with a good potion of meet in them??The only thing I’d say to cook is you could put some vegetables in the thai curry is was just chicken and sauce but still ?

I'm a first time customer, and it will be the last time. Let me tell the story.I was given a Cook voucher, and ordered from their website. They send you a one hour delivery slot and the delivery takes place from the local shop.The driver was around an hour late, no one phoned to tell me. When I checked the items, one was missing. I phoned the shop, asking for a refund of the money involved. I was promised this would happen. It didn't.A week later, I phoned again, and received an email (with a few hours of my call to be fair), saying because I had paid with a gift voucher they didn't know how to make a refund. Next day the shop manager phoned, sorted out the refund. I asked about the lack of service and in response received a very high handed, arrogant and almost rude response. (If you are one of the groups senior management reading this, you record calls, why don't you listen to my call from your branch manager).I'll give 2 examples of her approach to "customer service"1. I asked why the drivers didn't phone customers if they would be very late, we don't have earpieces was the response - well if you were the dynamic customer focused business you think you are then you would go and buy some.2. They give one hour slots. "I don't agree with that" was the comment made to me. Well you may or may not agree with your company's policies, but if you work for them you can't just say "I don't think we should do that, so I'll ignore it"How to lose a customer in one easy lesson !

I have always been very satisfied with Cook Shop products. Most useful at the beginning of the pandemic last year, delivered with a smile when there were many difficulties. They are a boon when going to self catering properties, particularly now we are just starting to come out of ‘lockdown’ and are allowed to travel further afield. Items purchased today ready to take on a short break booked in the near future.

Even though customers wear masks you still cannot go into the shop to pick the items you want - instead they ask you what you want and you wait whilst they pick the items out! Honestly used to shop here regularly but.... if this is the future then I won’t be going anymore surely they can allow one customer in at a time to choose their items. It’s common sense they make you feel like you are all infected so won’t allow you to even open the freezers let alone step foot through the door.

Brought items went to pay was told no cash card only .... I said I have correct money still wouldn’t take cash ... they were not going to sell me the food .. unbelievable when lots of businesses are struggling and unable to continue trading .Until I can pay for my goods how I choose to pay they won’t get my custom again .
