Went to visit friends who have moved nearby. From the moment you arrive you are welcomed and the staff are attentive, polite and professional. Excellent customer service, you can see they really value that aspect of their role and provided great service throughout our visit. Came here for a Sunday roast as staying nearby in a holiday park. Lovely home cooked roast with all the trimmings! Staff were very hospitable and there was an abundance of drinks available! Small car park but lots of places to park in surrounding roads. Reasonably priced and lots of food served for the price paid!

Great experience all round! Cosy and welcoming environment. Service was very good and staff were extremely friendly. Food was tasty and well priced. We had a great lunch and would definitely return on our next visit to Maldon.

Excellent pub lovely to see it was nice and busy midweek and I can understand why given the good choice of beer, tasty food (also a great choice) and friendly atmosphere. The 'small plate' option is also brilliant. Highly recommend.

Really excellent food and service so you need to book in advance. We had the Sunday roast dinner and there was plenty of it. The menu was great and there was something for everyone. The staff were really helpful and polite. The food was excellent value and the atmosphere was friendly.
