“A rare surviving owner-managed pub. This means the service is not over the top, but efficient and the food was tasty - and freshly prepared juding by both the taste and time it took. We particuarly loved the garden, there is someone clearly fond of plans looking after it. Home made cranberry jelly on the pub counter supported that. We sat under plum and apple trees at the back and enjoyed the flowers on the borders.”
