This is an absolute gem of a place, I found it whilst exploring Saffron Walden afew days ago and now I'm hooked! I had a breakfast there Saturday and a Sunday roast there Sunday.... the lovely young lady on front of house was amazing, she had a beautiful smile and was so so welcoming, the other young lady made my milkshake to total perfection, service was swift and the meals so fresh and tasty and more importantly served hot, the restaurant was beautifully clean and all menus were clear on both what all meals where and their price so no confusion, in all I'd say after many years myself working in hospitality and the restaurant business myself this establishment scored 10000/10000 for me, whatever your doing guys keep doing it xxxxxxxxx

Always great service and the best breakfasts in town!

Pricey, but everywhere is. Service was fantastic, a bit heavy on the bacon.

I asked if they did sausage rolls? They replied yes. I ended up with sausage baps. Since when was a sausage bap a sausage roll? The tea tasted like dirty dish water. Unfiltered and almost like it had a hint of detergent in it and that was in disposable cups. It was vile. It made me feel ill. You can get a better cuppa from a roadside food van.

Really disappointing visit! Visiting this beautiful town and thought we'd stop for a spot of lunch. Ordered the BLT 1/2 pounder burger of the special menu (not a chance did I get home made chips). My partner ordered a double cheese half pounder. This came as a quarter pounder. When he politely said he ordered a half pound burger the male making the food rudely grabbed the ticket and said 'Well that's not what you ordered' and if you want that then you'll need to pay for it' Clearly the polite young lady on the counter made a mistake with the order to which we have no issue and my partner would have happily paid any difference in price to get what he ordered. What was really poor was the rude response from the man in the kitchen. Would not recommend!

Went here for some lunch before concert, ordered 2 burger meals, 1 being half lb burger, 1 a special blt. 1/4 burger arrived, ( not what was ordered ) Took it back to explain, to be told yes you did, mo I didn’t, then proceeds to show me a print out order, saying I did. I reaffirmed that was not what I requested, and he stated you’ll have to pay for the other, ( which would be fair) but his whole customer service was poor. And the food was below average ( just frozen burgers) And at a cost £30, I would expect better quality. So all in all poor customer relations and low level food quality. ???

The food is standard at best, and certainly not worth the premium price it fetches, almost £14 for a breakfast that doesn't quite touch the sides! They don't do hash browns, just chips or fried potato's which are literally the same thing. Service weren't amazing, a very awkward experience trying to simply change an item, I've never had this issue at any other cafe. I asked for the bacon crispy and specifically asked for no white/chewy fat and my bacon came out full of white/chewy fat. I wouldn't spend another penny at Mocha, Cafe Deja Vu close by is far superior and only charge £9 for a decent sized breakfast.
