The location of the pub is beautiful and the staff are so welcoming and helpful. Definitely will be back!! Great range of beer and wine.

The food was exceptional – authentic Thai flavours, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. I had the Sea Bass Special, and the chef kindly prepared one fillet battered and the other grilled, as I couldn’t decide – such a lovely touch! Both were absolutely delicious. The prawn toast deserves a special mention too – I’ve genuinely never had prawn toast that good before! Paul had the Panang Nuea (beef curry), which was rich, warming, and full of flavour. We were both so impressed. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the pub itself is a lovely, characterful building that feels cosy and inviting. Highly recommend – we’ll definitely be back!

Highly recommend booking a table if you can - as it can get busy here.
The food on offer is really good.
The staff are all really friendly and make you feel welcomed from the minute you walk in.
The fish and chips here is probably the best i have eaten anywhere.

Station Rd, Saffron WaldenDidn't eat, but went for a double 60th birthday. Great night.....prices unbelievable (£0.75 for a Lemonade and lime!!). It's a community owned pub so prices are as low as they can get them!
Wonderful atmosphere......there was a live band on too (with a young double bass player from Iowa!).
Would heartily recommend.

Their octopus starter is divine.
The Malbec red wine they have is nice and easy to drink.

4-5 Central Arcade, Saffron WaldenThis is my around the corner fish and chips shop AND THE BEST fish and chips I’ve tasted in Saffron Walden. Big chips portions (love the cheesy ones), tender fish, and an enormous amount of sides to choose from. I’d especially recommend their Salt & Pepper Squid which slightly undercooked is as good as top London restaurants. Love this place ?

I have ordered from other competitors in the area chips and nuggets but I got to say what let’s theses guys down is there processed nuggets you would expect from a kebab shop after a night out for the money and quality you get with there other food this is where it falls short for a chip shop

We enjoyed a late lunch and the food was possibly the best I've had in quite a while.
Walking in through the door we received a warm welcome and the lady couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant

The food was lovely. The sweet and sour chicken was fresh and tasty and the chow mein was nice enough. Lady on the counter was friendly and I will use them again.

We played it toooo long :) but it was amazing.
A great assortment of different kind of beers, cocktails and special drinks.
So a wonderful place to watch football, cricket or other national sports.

The Plough Inn Sampford Rd, Saffron WaldenI’ve been here 4–5 times, maybe even 6–7 by now, and every single visit makes me admire this place even more. The food is always incredibly fresh, full of flavour, and absolutely delicious. The service is flawless and everything about the experience feels top quality.
The staff are extremely professional, attentive, and welcoming. On top of that, the prices are surprisingly reasonable considering the generous portion sizes and overall quality.
My son is especially obsessed with the Tennessee sauce chicken wings from the starters — he talks about them nonstop! Highly recommended.

Not very attentive or helpful at all - unable to answer questions or offer to find out and come back, wasn't asked if we wanted more drinks (had to call them over for just about everything). No entrance fee and the drinks were the usual price, not hiked up like other pubs we've been to for NYE.They even put on a free buffet!A fabulous little pub, let down by the fact there's only one ladies loo.Returned in February for a drink with friends. Great atmosphere, even without the celebratory new year and live music.The resident dog is a sweetheart who greets patrons enthusiastically in the hope they will play a very specific game with him. So lovely to find a dog friendly place to spend the evening.

Most of the staff know what I am about to order before I do. They are a friendly lot.
On one occasion, my bank card wasn't working but one of the staff very kindly let me have a free drink (I won't mention who as I don't want them to get into trouble).
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this branch to anyone.

Cafe Cornell
Smallbridge Rd, Saffron WaldenI always leave this cafe with a huge sense of positivity. The surroundings are cosy and relaxed and it is always spotlessly clean. The staff are incredibly polite and I enjoy being part of the education journey of the young adults who work there. It is great to watch their skills developing at each visit, and the support of the staff guiding them is unwavering. The food is delicious, with an excellent variety on the menu, including daily specials.
