Very nice pub with friendly staff and good selection of beer.

Fully deserving of a 5? review. Lovely staff (Margaret and Amy ? on the day) super friendly local customers and great quality real ale / cider (own cider produced on the premises). Pub has lots of interesting pictures / items etc relating to the closed railway station and community take over - pub is owned by local shareholders. Can't fault the place - best pub in Saffron Walden. Nice garden too, still being developed but great as it is ?. Loved my visit thank you staff and the customers I chatted with, Matty x

Really nice pub and ideal for an early evening drink with some fine selected beers and wines.

Fantastic solo afternoon visit. Friendly welcome, and tried all their lovely home produced ciders, and introduced to their friendly cider maker for a fascinating little education and introduction to their equipment and methods ?.....despite being a good few miles up the road, will defo be back with partner!!!. Top job guys.... All power to Community operated pubs ?

Nice pub, ruined by rude bar maid who was overworked so decided to take it out me by not serving the drink I had paid for!

Great pub. Great garden. Great interior. Great beer.Superbly kept beer inside. There was a beer festival on outside which offered even more choice.

Came here on a Thursday to enjoy porchetta and rotisserie chicken from Rotisseroll! Fantastic food and a great cider! Good choice of gins too!

A community pub with a friendly atmosphere where you can guarantee a good pint (Wylde Sky and Captain Bob on tap currently), good banter and some great music from local acts ? ?️

Easily the best pub in Saffron Walden. Exactly what you want from a pub: really friendly staff, excellent selection of drinks and all reasonably priced.
