Ordered beef and ale pie for lunch, the restaurant was fairly empty,I waited 20 minutes for the food to turn up,it was all nice and hot and the pie was tasty, the mash was very small portion but ok.the place is always very dimly lit and when I used the toilet there was no soap in the dispenser. Overall it could have been better 3/5.

One of the worst dining experiences I've had in a good while. We had a table of 10. Ordered our food at the same time at the bar, yet some of it kept coming out way before the other. Mains being delivered to the table before the starters have even been finished! Food overcooked. Mac and cheese bites over cooked. Onion rings over cooked. My child's burger was like charcoal. Food couldn't be prepared in time to be delivered at the same time with everyone's dishes. Deserts were fine, but again, deserts being brought out way to fast and whilst main coarse plates still on the table. The staff were very friendly however and apologetic but kept making the same mistakes. The bar was understaffed. One poor lad taking food orders and making drinks. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Food was good when it came out we ordered our food at the bar which was fine it was not busy. Problem being that it took 1 hour and 20 minutes for the food to come out and it was not too hot it seemed like it had been waiting around for a while under a hot plate. There was only a few staff which made the atmosphere quite flat although they did clear tables reasonably quickly.

You have to order your food and drinks at the bar. There was only one member of staff at the bar. The chef was bringing out the food.It took 45 minutes to order my food and drink. When the food arrived it was bland, chips were cold and expensive for what you get.

Everytime we go in here they never have enough staff and it always takes ages to get your food could do with more staff.

Just don’t even bother. We usually eat at the beefeater or the harvester every other week. Today we decided to try brewers Faye , don’t get me wrong I read the reviews and was abit disappointed but I thought I’d give it the benefit of the doubt. We arrived at our reserved table at 7pm and was greeted by a lovley lady called Jaqueli.I was disappointed that we had to order at the bar area in which there was only 1 bloke serving. I didn’t get to order our food until 7.45 as I was waiting at the bar in a Que to order our food for around 30 minutes.Once the waitress finished her shift at 8pm and left, we were completely forgotten about, our food turned up around 8.25. We finished what we wanted of our food in which we were very dissapointed as the food was full of grease. We ended up waiting an hour with our finished plates on the table for our desserts that never turned up. My partner went up to the bar twice within that hour in which we still had dirty plates on our table. We ended up going up to the bar and getting a refund for our desserts which were £25 it was 9.30pm by this point. We had our 5 children with us who were also disappointed. I will never return and it’s a shame because this could have been our new local,We didn’t get any apology, we never got asked if our food was okay or if we needed anything. We spent a total of 2 and a half hours here because of long wait times, and we didn’t even get to have dessert.Very understaffed.

The staff on duty tonight were amazing and coped well considering the place was fully booked tonight, as being valentines day, however, management felt it was a good idea to only have one person at the bar to take the food and drink orders??? which meant a very lengthy wait to order, so it's best to get everything ordered in one go!The downside to the staff shortage on what should be a special day meant that your valentine sat alone at a table waiting for their loved one to queue for 30mins to order food. If management wants to save costs on staff, either close the place or introduce a table ordering app, but ideally, you need more staff at front of house, you need to spend money to make money, I certainly would have spent more tonight if I could have ordered easily and I'm sure many others would have to, but the queuing time was very off-putting.

Good friendly staff, food always good, take advantage of money saving promotions. Thoughly recommended .

Had our choice of table due to not being too busy. However, with the standard Brewers Fayre service where you order at the bar, you'd think they would put more staff on to cater for that. Long line of people waiting to order at the bar and then a long wait for both mains and desserts. Overall the food was good but long waits and our finished plates were with us for a while
