I was very disappointed with Southend. For my birthday muffin. The boss usually lets me choice my muffin. The Chinese girl who served me. Was very rude. Would not listen to me. I had to settle. For a basic one. It used to be a great store. Spoke to Lukasz Iwanow from customer service. Was not help. Just said. The boss can provide. When it suits. No compensation I had been going there for years.

I used to come here for my weekly treat. The duffin is superb. The coffee and all the muffin are amazing. The manager and the staff are lovely.

Walked past this place many times. Breakfast is great. So many cheeky pastries to choose from. I’m no coffee drinker but people seem to like it. Nice Saturday morning treat.

Popped in early Sunday, obviously very popular as busy at 9.05, great choice of cooked breakfasts, can recommend the classic breakfast and partner, the avocado smash. Great choice of pastries, baguettes etc. excellent service and very clean, well worth a visit when in Southend

What brilliant service. The staff are very friendly and you get a warm welcome. Service is great and quick. I had a Mocha and Mac and Cheese breakfast.....devine. I can with an open heart recommend them for a great breakfast and service.

The service is hurried but still quite good. I enjoyed my coffee and turkey & stuffing panini. Not cheap but I believe food is freshly baked as stated

I regularly stop for coffee and the occasional cake. Coffee is very nice. Far superior to the adjacent chain venue. The staff are always very friendly, get to know your name and professional. There are some bad reviews about food I have read recently. In my opinion they offer too much choice. This may be why. And like most places now coffee and cake are expensive. But for me it's all about the staff and coffee. All good there.

By far the worst salmon cream cheese bagel ever made. Old crusty cheese and salmon was disgusting probably off could only manage one bit which was quickly thrown in the bin. Muffin was rock hard, the bacon roll was a joke too a hard muffin ripped open with a little bit of un cooked bacon. -10/10

absolutely RANCID, showed up and got put standing in a line, not fault on there end but got me already quite agitated. Finally got in and was standing in line when i saw MULTIPLE fruit flies ? crawling across the syrups and all over the machines, right put me off it did. The photo i inserted was one of MANY that i took. Sanctions need to be put in place for this, there’s absolutely no excuse for this horrendous affair. Naturally, i know flies are normal however this is a place where multiple people dine and i do not want bacteria and diseases spreading amongst this time. DO BETTER COSTA?

Went in this morning at about 9am. Young friendly staff, so helpful, and service with a smile. Even though someone had just arrived for a shift, attention wasn’t diverted. The young man who served me - James, was so friendly and helpful, knowledgeable, genuine, polite and happy.\\nStaff deserve a shout out and praise for their positive attitudes!
