I don’t leave many reviews but effectively made this account to leave this one. Upon first glance, The Squeeze is quite a quaint coffee shop in the heart of Leigh-on-Sea, friendly staff and even the bonus of some lovely dogs watching their owners sip coffee. Unfortunately, that’s where the dream ends. The stark reality of the place is extraordinarily long waits for food (in excess of 45 minutes… for soup. Really?) & over exerted staff to near breaking point. A generally less than positive experience, which is a shame for someone new to the area. Thankfully many other coffee shops in the area so I won’t have to frequent this establishment. A certain must avoid.

Sadly, the noise levels are such that this is no longer a quiet place for lunch. Their own music blaring and people with laptops with their solo music blaring too. The cafe is too small for this. Time for a change for me

Honestly some of the best food I've ever had, the potato dauphinoise is to die for and there's a great range of dishes to pick from. Starters come out one at a time which is really good for sharing with friends and family.

Went tonight for Zoe’s Kitchen. First of all the initial drink order was incorrect. We let this slide as mistakes happen, no big deal. The starters then came in stages, mine came first first then 5-10mins later my wife’s came along, by which time I had nearly finished. Hey, these things happen. However….when the main came up the chicken was cold in the middle. As we were sat on the first floor and no staff were around I had to take the plate down to the ground floor to complain. There was NO apology at this stage, I was ignored whilst another member of staff was asked to go sort it out. I then went back to my seat and waited 20mins for a new plate of food to arrive whilst my wife had eaten her meal completely. When it finally arrived, I sent it back as didn’t really want to eat alone. Again no apology was given. I then had to go down stairs to pay and was offered 10% off and finally an apology. I then had to complain again as let’s be honest who wants uncooked chicken?! Such a shame as we live local and would like to come here regularly. But the service is some of the poorest I have ever experienced. This is actually the 4th time we have been to squeeze (1st for dinner) food has generally always been decent but service has been pretty poor each time. With all the great places in Leigh….there will certainly not be a 5th visit.

We have tried to like this cafe. The service is so slow that we have walked out twice now. Wish they would train their staff. Not a smile in sight and breakfast will turn into lunch by the time we get served. Appalling

Have visited The Squeeze multiple times both in its new & old locations. The food is always so delicious! We’d say the best cooked breakfast in Leigh on Sea. Excellent portion sizes too - such good value for money! The staff are really friendly & attentive. The only drawback is sometimes the toilets can be a little messy. The baby changing unit is extremely high up on the wall making changing a nappy quite tricky.

Lovely little spot with lots of great options. They have recently moved to this location and I actually much prefer it. Well worth a visit

We were seated in a small room upstairs when we enquired about a table. All good. Gave our order and waited 39 minutes for drinks to be told we needed to move tables to accommodate a larger walk in party. Moved to a worse table and waited another 30 minutes for food. Rubbish.
Lovely breakfast, nice service everything was very tasty ?

Lovely coffee, had the chill sausage bagel, wife had the bacon/avocado sourdough, both amazing. Haven’t been for a while, so glad I did.

What a great place! Loved the food and smoothie options, especially the kids menu! My salad was insanely good, and my daughter really enjoyed her kids platter. The food was so tasty and super healthy and the service was fantastic. The squeeze had a great atmosphere about it and definitely a place we will be returning to frequently now we’ve experienced how good it is ?

Have had two lovely experiences at the Squeeze in the last week. Beautiful suntrap garden, great kids smoothies and lovely Easter Sunday vibes with family visit today ?
