Mint in a burrata instead of Basil was interesting.Good menu options but thought for what is essentially a white fish dish that should be reasonably priced, they were ghr same price as cuts of beef.Scallops were cooked well and were of a good size albeit a little under seasoned. This could be down ti personal taste however.Staff were nice and setting was lovely. But didn't feel the quality represented the £.

An odd title but I wouldn't want to exclude anyone thinking this is for them.. This restaurant is fabulous. We were 2 couples staying at the Radisson Blu, needing an evening meal and not fancying the hotel restaurant. Found on trip advisor we booked the Lower Street Brasserie and were not disappointed Good value for the excellent quality of food and service- we all enjoyed every mouthful of our starters and mains. The service was without fault - white linen table cloths and napkins yet still managing an informal setting in a lovely old building. Top tip if you are staying at an airport hotel and need an evening meal, this is such a special way to start your holiday. And if you need a taxi, call Associated Taxis on 01279 655666. It was £15 each way instead of £35 with Uber.

We've just come back from a fabulous meal at the Lower St Brasserie. Everything was cooked to perfection, and wonderfully delicious.

Our visit to this Brasserie was due to a slightly random choice of geographical location down to it being vaguely equidistant between myself and a long distance friend. It was a slightly less random choice of restaurant & was prompted by positive & recent TA reviews. And how reliable all the good reviews were! My friend and I had a first class lunch chosen from an interesting and varied menu which yielded excellent & well presented dishes. The service was great - attentive but not intrusive -and the meal was extremely good value. I come from a catering background and consider myself a fair judge and my opinion was that the quality ingredients were all prepared by a very competent chef with flair who was paying great attention to detail and to the presentation of each dish. They were all well balanced, served hot and were just the right size portions. I could not fault a thing.

A group of us had an extended lunch here choosing a variety of foods from the menu. All our meals were lovely and we received very attentive service. We all agreed that we wouldn't hesitate to recommend eating here to anyone.

Booked a table for 6 as a surprise birthday celebration. Whilst there was not a children's menu available the management were really helpful contacting me in advance to ensuring that they were able to provide a meal of choice for my grandson which he really enjoyed The 5 adults opted for the 2 course set menu and whilst we made different choices we are agreed that the food was of an extremely high quality and fantastic value for money. A big thank you to the chef The staff are amazing and really attentive without being overbearing We had a lovely evening and are looking forward to returning again shortly

Turned away at 8pm on a Tuesday night. I live in the village and was a very regular diner at this restaurant under previous management, and had supported the new management as often as possible in recent times with COVID restrictions. Food consistently excellent. Walked past the restaurant at around 7:30, and it was fairly quiet so we decided to have a drink in the always-friendly Cork House. Arrived at the restaurant at 8pm, a table was just leaving as we arrived, and the waitress said she would need a few minutes to reset the table for us. Which was fine. Returned a few seconds later to say they would be unable to accommodate us, despite only being a table of 2 and it being 8pm on a Tuesday. We were offered a reservation for another night, unfortunately that didn’t compensate for our ruined evenings plans for today. No reason given for not being able to serve us. They don’t want your money. Eat somewhere else.
