Why is this place so expensive for fuel. Both the Esso and Jet petrol stations on the North bound A12 are 10p a litre cheaper for unleaded, Tiptree Shell is one of the most expensive around and I’m not sure why!

It was closed for staff change of shift. Told to wait 10 minutes and there was 4 cars waiting which all left. 4 staff were inside. What a way to run a business!

Accuse man of robbing when on the phone, places all items on me on the counter as didn’t have enough hands to carry items to then be told we’re not serving you ? we’re calling police ! Call them ! I’m paying for the items on me I ent no thief ?

I tried to use the machine to check my tire pressures and add air at 15:30 hrs today 3/3/23. The card machine was broken and so I wasted my journey.I informed the lad behind the counter (I was given his name as Shaun). He didn't seem bothered and said that they had nothing to do with the company that deals with the air compressor. I asked whether they could put up a sign to stop other people queuing for no reason but he said that the two people there were too busy.I left with no confidence that they would do anything.

Generally a good all round experience. Plenty of pumps and easy to get in and out of the site. A well stocked shop with hot snacks and drinks to go. It also benefits from a Cashpoint and Amazon lockers (which you can have your Amazon parcel delivered to for easy collection). Staff are friendly and competent.

As a female supermarket grocery delivery driver public toilets are a high priority for me, especially clean ones! Shell in Tiptree are excellent! Thanks for keeping them so clean!
It's a real shame, as I'd never had any problems at this station before, but then again I'd never really needed any assistance.However, today I used a faulty pump which continued to pump diesel even when my car was completely full. The fuel squirted out all over my car and the floor, puddling in places.I immediately alerted the attendants, as I was concerned at how much highly flammable fuel had spilled. To my surprise and dismay no one came to assist. I was left mopping up puddles of fuel on my car. I signalled again that I could do with some help, but the assistants just carried on pressing buttons.Having mopped up the mess entirely myself, I questioned why no one offered any help, advice or reassurance - I was presented with blank faces. And eventually was told they are not allowed to touch my car - fair enough - but a little reassurance, advice and perhaps even an apology that the pump failed would have been welcomed.At this point, I've had ZERO help and a fair amount of frustration. But I assume they won't try to charge me for the fuel that lay on the floor...haha don't be so silly, they can't offer "discounts". Not really a discount is it, and of course there's the fact I'll need to get my car cleaned.Having spoken to the manager on the phone, he has no interest and just references corporate policy and the fact I may have been using the pump incorrectly! Seriously, at this point it's insulting.Also, worth noting no one seemed at all interested that the pump was malfunctioning.TBH - the money wasn't the issue, I just wanted to feel like someone actually cared about their customers, but they don't.

Really lovely staff inside and out. The pump attendant was super polite, very happy and chatty. Equally the staff inside were just as pleasant and helpfull.
