it's changed a bit the burger and chips was sadly not worth the money the burger was just a burger and a roll no salad in it I did get a bit of cheese thats because I ask for it shame the old sofas have gone it has a new menu but there are better pubs for food if you want a quick pint its OK chips were from a frozen bag the burger it looked like one of those 1.50 things from Tesco in a plastic box but staff are polite

The tall barmaid was quite arrogant and rude in general to her obviously new colleague this was a week ago.. Plus I and my husband came in for a lunchtime meal then left without ordering food because of this attitude and the outside smokers with the door open it was all filling up the inside table area where we had been seated so that was unpleasant and we walked out after a drink. We may have stayed but with that woman's attitude it was not a nice place to be in, the new barmaid reluctant to ask her for help and was obviously just learning the ropes.

Lovely pub, fire, big TV and the best Guinness in Waltham Abbey
Walked in about 14.15 with 9 friends, asked if they are still doing lunch for 10 of us, yes was the reply just help yourselves to tables,I'll get you some menus. Needless to say, service v.good, food v.good, service excellent. 10 happy customers, ready for next time.

Staff always polite and were very good through the covid times and the land lady Kirstie has kept things in order whilst also being pregnant well done all.
