A very nice cozy pub.The service is very good.Food, well you definitely will not be hungry afterwards. For the price of the food you get alot for your money..And you get a option on small, med and large dinner and the price accordingly..Its definitely well worth a visited..The small car park is on the opposite side of the road and is free.

The weather was very wet so we abandoned our walking plans to go and eat in this pub. I expect, that on a sunny dry day in summertime that the place is packed but there were only a handful of people there so getting a table was easy. It is a classic pub menu and the prices were very reasonable. The food we had was very tasty. Two diners across from us had ordered the pies which looked gigantic.

My partner and I were looking for somewhere to grab lunch in the afternoon on NYE. I found the Horseshoes on a Google search, so booked a table as it looked good. It's a cute little countryside-feel, cozy pub. Upon first looking at the menu (which has quite a lot of options), the prices seemed slightly higher than some other places in the area, but the waiting staff said that the portions come out large - they weren't wrong!Food was very good and excellent value for money. I had the sausage and mash, and a side of onion rings. My other half had the pork bellies and we shared a side of cream spinach. Was all great.Total bill came to £50 (including one alcoholic drink and a soft drink).Staff were attentive and friendly. Food came out fairly quickly.Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian options.

Great fresh food ,great service... The only thing I don't like is what most places do now is Add a service charge !! I always tip at least 10% ( old school ) if the food/service is that good but being forced with a service charge takes away the thanks to staff ? & you don't actually know if the service charge goes to the staff ? & always makes you feel slightly awkward when paying the bill... Other than that this is a great place for Great food..

Great setting in beautiful Upshire, very friendly and welcoming staff. We had a Sunday roast and the portions are incredibly generous. My boyfriend who eats more than any other person I’ve ever met, including a small whale struggled with the medium. Meats are very good the only negative is the Yorkshire pudding was very hard/crusty but this is down to personal preference. Also the prices on the website are incorrect.

Food and atmosphere was very good but let down by the service. When our plates were collected we were not asked if we would like a desert or coffee i stead we was presented with the bill and told to get out as they had other people waiting for the table. Our table was booked for 3.00pm and it was only 4.25pm.

Sunday roast not bad but too expensive. Fully understand that prices have risen considerably since the end of the pandemic. I had a large roast beef and £28 plus ten percent service was too expensive in my view as this was topside as opposed to rib or sirloin. Even though a fair portion, the portion control for the beef, which was not the best, but still not bad was strictly limited. Having said that the potatoes were good as the vegetables in the main. Desert was good as was the service. The place was packed but this was only a couple of weeks before Christmas. Nice atmosphere. We went with friends and had a lovely time.

Very friendly, efficient staff. Good portions but my fish, which looked very large was mainly batter and not enough fish meat. Chips all different
