We ordered online and received lovely food. Although would have liked a little more sauce for the king prawn cocktail and also chilli con carne was missing the sour cream and tortillas. But would still order again as everything else was delicious.

A friend recommended this pub so we popped in for lunch today. Polite, friendly staff, great service and very good food at reasonable prices. Will definitely go back and recommend to others.

Had a great time with friends and family. Went on 2nd June with small kids and the owner and staff were very friendly. Everything on the menu was fresh and very tasty. Kids portions were very good size. Very good selection of drinks. Highly recommend a visit.

Run by a very accommodating couple with lovely bar staff. A CAMRA member with a great range of ales, ciders and lagers. Nice food with plenty of choice for all tastes.We went in on a Friday afternoon with our 90 year old birthday boy and Rob very kindly gave him a pint of his favourite - Captain Bob!

Lovely old pub full of friendly regulars . We went for the Spanish night and everything about it was great. Very good guitarist playing Spanish music , very good food at a reasonable price and ice cold moretti beer . The sort of pub where everyone knows everyone else and you can’t help but make new friends. Will be back again soon.

Went to this pub on two occasions. The food was superb! This is a real hidden gem tucked away. It’s a pleasure to see that there are still traditional British pubs serving excellent quality local produce. They have an extensive cider and ale collection as well as other spirits. Very warm welcome by the staff every time I have been and always end up chatting away after the meal before we left. I am really looking forward to booking another visit again very soon. For a corporate team building event I was looking for a good place to entertain a few early arrivals, and avoid yet another night at the hotel. One of the clients has multiple dietary needs (and is a fussy eater) so an evening of to and fro text messages later, we’d discovered, spoken to Rob and booked a table Upon arrival we found the pub very quiet, but we’re made very welcome by Rob. He recommended local cider, local gin and even local red English wine (yes, really). It was all really good, however sadly only 1 bottle of local red left, so we had to slum it with a Malbec for our 2nd Food was great, homemade ice cream amazing (nice sharing platter) and we even got to fuss the dog (we were last to leave ?♂️) I’d recommend and would go back

Don't be put off when you first arrive.The food is flavoursome honest home cooking from locally sourced ingredients.The beers are exceptional and the wines limited but good.This is a family run pub and all the better for it! We were left fulfilled.

My friend and I were on a bike ride and stumbled across this lovely little pub. After deciding to pop in for a quick pint, we ended up having some hot starters and everything was lovely. Service was also exceptional and we were warmly welcomed by the landlord who showed us a closer place to lock up our bikes :)

Very well presented, carefully cooked roast dinner on Mother’s Day. Tender beef properly aged. Needless to say the cask beer was exceptional. Woodbine serving the best food I know in a pub for serious beers. Service very efficient.

We passed by and stop to have a quick drink & lunch! The menu is very limited with no much choices for the starters! Nevertheless, we had fish & chips and it was good! I would love to see more selections of beers in bottles but I guess the order depends on what the usual clientele drinks. Great staff very friendly!
