A nice children friendly pub on the edge of Waltham Abbey. There is a car park to the side. A large beer garden with decking welcomes customers who want to sit outside. The inside is clean and tidy with various areas to sit. If you like pool you're in luck as there is a table near the entrance. Food is offered here but I only popped in for a drink.

Fantastic staff, nothing was to much, even met the chef, a must go to eat. Even booked Christmas dinner. Brilliant food, good choice.

Nice pub , but no draught beer. A nice looking pub I had driven past many times , until recently when I stopped for a drink. They only had bottled lager for sale, and no draught beer. We went a few miles down the road and went to the Black Swan , which sold both beer and food.

Had both good and bad meals here. Could have a better beer selection to…

Party of six had a lovely lunch visit today. Very pleasant and efficient staff. We had excellent food with the exception of the Hunter's chicken that was dry and lacking in any sauce. The dogs however thoroughly enjoyed it. We will return!

Don’t bother. Disappointing pub. No atmosphere. Food is expensive pub food… microwaveable tasteless rubbish… childrens play area decent. Beer average… better pubs around.

What a great place! The food was outstanding! Honestly, the burger was so good I could have married it ?

Food average and long service time. Lovely staff make up for some of this. My main complaint is that they had no ale apart from a mild on cask or keg. This is pretty poor for a pub these days to only offer larger.

Nice play ground for kids in a big garden, slow service. No beer! Flat coke. Nice chips and alright pub grub.

Could be an amazing pub with the right management. Downside is that its very hit and miss as to when its open and when its not, when it is open it closes at 9pm meaning you cant go here for an evening out and it is always almost dead. Food very basic and expensive for what it is.

Great service. Great beer. Two lovely ladies the barmaid and the cook made our day. Dropped in for a beer at the end of our walk today and a really friendly welcome rounded off with a Valentine treat for both of us courtesy of the chef.
