So, we went to the pub and the greeting from staff was very friendly. We ordered the special of two 8oz rump steaks, my wife ordered hers medium rare, and I ordered mine blue. They came pretty quick, to be honest. My blue one didn't seem cooked enough on the outside, and the middle seemed medium rare. My wife's was well done and perfect on the outside. However, the inside was completely blue. They had mixed the steaks up. The chips were not nice. It seemed like they were cooked in deep-fried grease. We left the food, and when they were collected at the end of the meal, we complained about the steaks being mixed up. The staff chuckeld and said 'nevermind' then asked if we wanted the pudding menu. No apology nor any discount for a what can be described meal, untasty.

Nice pub serving good food and real ales. I was part of a large party and the service was excellent, the meals well presented and the portions were generous. First time for me at the Salmon and I'm looking forward to going back again!!!

Food and service were excellent.The visit was spoiled by a drunken member of the local hunt knocking over chairs and being a pillock. The landlord should have intervened.

Nice pub with good food and pleasant service, car park is large enough to safely park your vehicle.Steak cooked to perfection and good flavours all round. unfortunately some wasps about but other than that all was great.

Unfortunately really terrible experience today. Went with my two sons and our family dog. My youngest fell off the playground and was screaming. Naturally I went to him to pick him up and comfort him. The waitress came over telling me off shouting how dogs aren't allowed and to get off. I had to then take her off away from my crying child as she continued to lecture me. We don't have a lot opportunity to go out as it's costly and genuinely felt like just going home and leaving the food the kids were sad and upset and confused with her and the situation became really nasty for no reason. You could see he was clearly upset and hurt on the floor and she expected me to just leave him? Really poor... wish I hadn't wasted the time or money on this visit.
