Aroma Bangladeshi restaurant it's one of the best "indian" restaurant I have ever been. Not only the food is great but the owner too, his fun and outgoing character makes the permanence at this restaurant even more pleasant!I really enjoyed dining here and I recommend this place to anyone in particular solo travellers!

My friends and I are in the area on a sort of school trip! We have been friends 50 years and used to come to Bourton on school field trips. We came here tonight and have had the best fun I’ve ever had at a restaurant! Abdul was the best waiter/ host ever. He is so funny, warm and clever we laughed and laughed, my friends can recommend the Naz Chops and we even got to speak to Naz herself on the phone in Scotland whist she is on holiday, apparently it’s her “secret” recipe. - the food was absolutely delicious….. we leave completely happy. 100/10 come eat here and tell all your friends to come eat here too then come here and eat again…. And repeat

We ordered a takeaway which was very disappointing. The veg dansak lacked flavour and the vegetables mainly consisted of cabbage abd potatoes!

The takeaway downstairs looks very basic. Upstairs, however, is a different story - a little haven of a restaurant, featuring Bangladeshi and Indian dishes, with all the "regular" choices plus some which were new to us. The young waiter is inexperienced and his English is very limited, but as soon as the boss arrived from downstairs the repartee with customers known to him from previous visits began immediately. Happy to make jokes about the food ("Aunt Bessie's", "English curry", etc.) and very professional. Food did not take long to arrive and was first class - tasty, sensible portions, and all as ordered arrived at once. A memorable meal, and the ability to bypass the somewhat unprepossessing takeaway and follow advice from previous reviewers was rewarded. Toilet was clean, bill was accurate (you pay downstairs after the meal), and free roadside parking available opposite if needed.

The Aroma Indian Restaurant is above the takeaway just off the main high street in Bourton on the Water. Expect the usual curries but also a few different dishes. It's a BYO place so that helps with the bill. Wonderful food and the atmosphere is great. Abdul is a real asset to the place and entertaining !!

Staying in bourton on the water for 6 nights and wanted a takeaway, we all decided on a curry We rang and placed our order for 6.30pm and we got there Abdul greeted us and said they were freshly preparing banana fritters as they will go soggy if cooked before, while we waited we had a lovely chat and at 6.30pm It was ready to take back to our apartment. My dad can’t eat too hot of a curry so he went for korma , I personally don’t like korma as usually it’s to bland to my taste but even I tried some and fell in love so tasty not bland at all, my husband had murgi keema bhuna and I had saagwala both gorgeous both had quite a kick but nothing to blow your head off and the chicken so tender We love curry’s and we have tasted quite a few but I must admit this has come out one of the top curry places on our list

Very poor service and very long wait times. We waited over an hour for our food (arrived at 6.30, food didn't come till 7.30), we only ordered one meat dish to eat in and 2 small veg dishes to takeway. Another family sat down the same time as us and finished by the time ours arrived. In the end, we had to just take it as takeway as we were running late. The food was not tasty, the gravy had a curry sauce flavour with lots of sugar. Not impressed.

Had an eat-in meal at Aroma on Saturday night and it was superb. Abdul has brought the very best of Birmingham's Indian food to Bourton on the Water and every mouthful was stunning. Mixed Starter, Lamb Garlic Chilli, veg dhansak (main dishes), mushroom rice, saag aloo, naan all absolutely spot on. Also a pleasure to chat with Abdul. Hoping he manages to find a suitable location in Wylde Green so we can enjoy his delicious curry on our doorstep. Thank you for a lovely experience, Abdul.

Wow, where do I begin! A night I will never forget ❤️!! From start to finish, it was full of entertainment and the food was top tier! Abdul, was such a character (he need his own TV show) and really made our night special, if it wasn’t for him it wouldn’t have been the same! They accommodated 12 of us soooo last minute and didn’t even bat an eyelid. Thank you so much, the BEST curry we’ve ever had ✨!

Had visited this restaurant before so decided to go back. Service very poor arrived 7 o'clock and was seated straight away. Got poppadoms and picked, however 45 minutes later still had not taken our main course order. Take away orders took priority over eating in. Continue to seat new arrivals but no order taken. Decided to leave so no comment on food. Did not seem to care either will not be back and we visit Bouton regularly.

Group of four booked at short notice. We were guided through the menu and three of us went for unfamiliar Bangladeshi dishes. All were excellent, as was the mango lassi. This is a takeaway/restaurant with a no frills upstairs dining room and toilet. The decor is showing its age; the server was a friendly guy who liked a bit of a joke, but that was fine by us. Not your usual Bourton kind of place, then. But the food was good and the price very reasonable. It has no alcohol license but he was happy for us to drink wine from the off-licence. We would eat here again.
