Had a very disappointing meal tonight. Chips were cold and dry and left a bad taste, assume they had been sitting there for a while. Fish cake was poor and seemed to be mostly potato. Terrible value for money paid. Have enjoyed coming here for many years but will not be back in a hurry.

It's a bit difficult to get fish and chips wrong but they certainly had a good go!Fish was stale and left a bad taste in the mouth, chips were old and cold (not fresh).I have used Charlie's s fish shop on many occasions previously, however, there seems to have been a changing of the guard.I will not be going back.

I’ve lived in Cheltenham for about 2 years now and recently tried this chippy for the first time.I’m not fussy and will eat pretty much anything that’s put in front of me so for me to criticise it can’t be good.It’s the first time in all my life where i couldn’t eat it all.The chips were just awful which surprised me somewhat as i know this chip shop as been here many years.I hate to moan but I can only say about my experience.

Without out any doubt, the BEST Takeaway in Cheltenham. Their homemade fish cakes are amazing, and for gravy lover's like me, their gravy is awesome ?. Their chips are dam good too ? ?

We tried this place. Found it on Deliveroo. Nice and easy Friday night dinner. Tasty and reasonable sized portions.

Ordered cheesy chips, which should be quite a straight forward order. Just putting some cheese on chips. Unfortunately, I don't think the amount of cheese accurately warrants the £6 pri e tag.

I have to caveat this by saying that Charlie's is a great takeaway, normally I like whatever I order, however, I just had the homemade fish cake and it is quite possibly the worst thing I have ever order from anywhere - extremely salty (to the point of being inedible) and minty for some reason? I'm not sure anyone tasted these before they were added to the menu. Great idea, however the recipe needs sorting.

No.1 chip shop in Cheltenham..I use them all the time & always great food..only thing to say is there delivery guys let them down so I'd suggest picking them up yourself..we've had countless deliveries go to wrong address..!
