This was so disappointing. We asked for decaf coffee, it wasn’t - we both spent the day vibrating and feeling sick from the coffee. The Bircher muesli was inedible, it was so sweet, I had to ask for a replacement - I asked for poached eggs on toast, they arrived with no butter on the toast, just dry cold toast, and no cutlery. We asked for toast and jam - we received cold toast in a rack, no plates, cutlery or jams and butter and had to wait ten minutes for some. The waitress appeared entirely disengaged and didn’t apologise or seem to take in any of what we said or asked for. Upon receiving the bill we asked for the service to be removed, they did so but again with no apology or enquiry as to why, it was as though it were customary to ask for it to be taken off! Such a pity as it’s a beautiful location and has the potential to be lovely. Really bad experience.
