Wow wow wow, everything about this place and our experience was perfect, even down to the cleanliness of the toilets! We came here with a virgin gift voucher that I’d had for nearly a year, as such we weren’t expecting much in terms of a menu. But even the set menu for my particular package was fantastic! We had delicious food, inc. stone bass, cheese soufflé, lamb roulade all fantastic and perfectly cooked. We then went off the set menu for dessert and additional extras which also did not disappoint. We were sat in the restaurant which had a converted barn feel, but really cosy and had a great atmosphere. Our waiter was amazing, very attentive, extremely friendly and super welcoming, even though service was included we felt we wanted to add more because nothing was too much trouble and he was so passionate about his role and ensuring we had a nice experience. Nothing I could fault about our experience whatsoever!

Not just visually stunning food but a real treat to the tongue too! A warm welcome from the moment we stepped in and were shown to a cosy private eating area - great service, great food, great location. The bathrooms also deserve a mention - spotless and beautifully set out. Great value.

Good atmosphere and excellent service. Cheese souffle was excellent. Halloumi burger was also good if a bit on the small side, but the coleslaw was just hard, chunky strips of cabbage - had to ask for mayonnaise to make it palatable! Ice cream and sorbet portions are ridiculously small. In summary it's a good place to meet friends and family but it's a pity the food doesn't quite match up.

Not great choice on menu, lovely atmosphere, steak was nice

Just want to say: you have to try steak here. I've been 3 times already, and 2 of them ordered steaks. All of them are 10 of 10!

Popped in for lunch. Service was good, quick and efficient. Ordered steak pie and asked to swapped the mash for chips which they did with no probs. Unfortunately pie was very bland, lacked real depth of flavour. Chips were OK but slightly undercooked and weren't that hot. Had a coke which came with more ice than liquid however they did give me another drink without ice on the house which was very nice of them. I would return as I think my meal isn't a true reflection of the establishments standard as many of the other plates of food looked very nice.

What a great place this is. We were passing through the area and were lucky to stumble into this establishment.Quality dining and service, without any pretentious nonsense. Perfect!
The Kings Arms, My wife and her friend just had an interesting experience in pub this afternoon. Let's just say the service was a little cold and unfriendly. They both seem to get stick for choosing where they wanted to sit becuase they both had a push chair and baby, which apparently may get in the way of other customers even though the pub was empty . Plus you they would not honor the two for one drinks deal plastered on the poster in big letters outside . Suddenly they are not doing it. If that's the case do you want to not advertise it . I mean it sounds a bit suspicious. Is it the king arms policy now to discriminate against mothers with young babies? If you are not doing two for one don't advertise that you are !

That food was delicious. The service was great. Had to take one start off for the mix up with the bill that went back a couple of times. Apart from that everything was great.Parking: They were a number of parking spots next to the pub, but they were quite full. Managed to find the last spot.Kid-friendliness: They have a great kids menu and it is a family friendly pub.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s one of the loveliest pubs I’ve been to. Excellent food, outstanding service and gorgeous interiors. Modern whilst keeping the traditional pub feel. Inside is cosy and warm perfect for Autumn and Winter and it has a gorgeous garden for the summer. Can’t wait to go back.

This is very much my go to restaurant if I want straightforward, VFM, quality cuisine, nothing fancy or pretentious about this place with a very pleasant atmosphere. They also have a reasonable selection of wines with a couple of quality bottles if one wishes to push the boat out. Happy to recommend ?

Warm welcome from young, but efficient team. Comfortably seated in small anti-room room which was decorated in fresh, uplifting colours. Congratulations to the chef for his well-cooked and plated-up food! Altogether a great dining experience! We'll be back.
