Visited only because I had a 50% off mains code. I had the pitmaster which sounded like a feast but turned out to be pretty pathetic for the £21 price point. Chips dry. Only one server on for the first hour of our visit but she was lovely.Totally worth the half price paid but there is absolutely no way I would visit unless a similar offer available.Update: 20/03/24 - still rubbish. My steak was smaller than my child's 4oz ?. Well done when I ordered rare. Probably because it was so small. Gristle running through the middle. Mac and cheese was exceptional though!Let's be honest; everyone comes for the free refill drinks and unlimited salad anyway.

Dined this evening for Mother's Day and the food was awful. I ordered the ultimate Mixed Grill with the steak rare, I received steak like a bit of old rubber, raw, ice cold black pudding and cold sausages. My partner's ribs were jelly-like in the middle too. The waitress kindly offered to replace the ribs and also my entire meal. Her replacement was ok however the cooks second attempt at my mixed grill led to again over cooked steak, chicken raw in the middle, 2 rubber like mushrooms I couldn't stomach to eat and he/she completely forgot the half rack of ribs on it. The manager agreed to remove the price of my meal from the bill although they didn't come and see us (which would have been nice)This experience coupled with the completely wasted men in the bar singing at the top of their voice really put a dampener on my partner's mother's day especially when due to our rural location it was a near hours drive to get there.I try not to be too critical in my reviews but this was by far the worst Harvester meal I've had.

Great family friendly meal with quick and personal service from Nike. She went out of our way to make us comfortable and engaged with my 2yo throughout which really helped when he was bored of being in the high chair!The fryers weren’t hot enough (due to the time of day we arrived) meaning his food came a bit later than ours, but it was no problem due to the salad bar which was all really fresh and good variety. Nike apologised profusely also.The restaurant was really clean and well kept which is not always the case with this genre of pub/restaurant… no sticky tables/bashed furniture/grubby chairs.Overall a great experience, good value and we will definitely be back!Kid-friendliness: Great kids meal deal and super friendly staff made us feel very welcome with a toddler
