Beautiful hotel in the heart of chipping Camden, with the best service. Huge shout out to Alice who made sure there was extra pillows for me after me staying not long after a fairly big stomach operation. She couldn’t have been kinder and more helpful. Huge credit to the hotel. Also the breakfast was unbelievable. See you soon

Satright on the high street of Chipping Camden, this hotel and spa is perfectly situated. The quaint Village is absolutely beautiful and this hotel offers a wonderful view out onto the high street from many of its rooms. The parking is at the rear entrance and offers wheelchair access parking. This is where the spa can be found. The spa is small but large enough to enjoy a swimming pool a Bubble pool and a steam room and of course plenty of room to relax. Many treatments are also on offer here and should be enjoyed. The reception and welcome area was absolutely beautiful and a spiral staircase leads from here up to the rooms upstairs.Unfortunately there is very little wheelchair access here and no lift whatsoever. There are some rooms available on the ground floor but these are the cottages and the sweet and are more expensive. The rooms for spacious and bright and clean and offered all the things that you would need to hand to enjoy your stay.My only moan here was that the double bed was in fact two single beds pushed together and was not really that comfortable. All in all an exceptionally nice and beautiful Hotel and Spa to stay in I would definitely recommend a visit here as it was worth every penny and more.Rooms: The superior double room was plenty big enough and bright. En-suite bathroom included bath and shower.A beautiful room with all the things you need to hand.Nearby activities: Lots of shops and cafes to chose from and plenty of local and National trails to follow.Walkability: Right on the high street of Chipping Campden.Food & drinks: Food was delicious and the bar was well stocked with a great range of drinks.Noteworthy details: Sits right at the beginning of the Cotswolds way national trail.

Came for a last minute spa morning, and it was excellent. My massage was perfect, the staff were really friendly and the pool was great too. Beautiful setting also. We only popped in for the morning but would definitely consider coming to stay after a good experience

As others have mentioned, the service is good and location excellent. The food and drink are also worth a mention. However, the room we had was awkwardly small, and the shower - which was supposed to be over a bath but was just a cubicle - was unbelievably tiny, particularly for someone 6ft. The room was also dated with the toilet roll holder falling off and a water stain on the ceiling. Bags of rubbish were also left outside in the courtyard, again not really something we'd expect given the cost of the hotel. All in all, I probably wouldn't recommend a stay here if other places are available.

From the moment we walked through the door we were looked after and spoilt! The staff were lovely, they all wished us a happy anniversary, which was great attention to detail. Our room at the top of the hotel ( beautiful staircase!) was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and also had a lovely view over the rather beautiful garden. The chap in charge in bar/ bistro/ restaurant was brilliant. Settled us with cocktails before a delicious meal in the restaurant. The food was very very good. So good that instead of eating in town on our second night we ate at hotel again. We had a lovely table and the food was again fabulous. The thing that really made our stay, was the brilliant staff, we really felt that they just wanted us to have a fantastic time. Which we did! This is a great hotel, we highly recommend it.

We had the afternoon tea. Which was excellent. The waitress was an Australian girl who was very friendly and helpful. We would have no problem recommending the hotel.

This is my type of hotel, quintessentially English and situated in the heart of Chipping Campden, one of my favourite Cotswold towns. The girls on reception were helpful and we soon found the car park at the rear of the hotel. Our room could have possibly done with a bit of a makeover but the bed was comfortable and it was spotlessly clean with ample drinks making facilities. After drinks in the very private and pleasant gardens we had an excellent meal in the restaurant and a comfortable nights sleep followed by a more than adequate breakfast. The overall score on Tripadvisor is 4.5 and that seems to be pretty accurate, why not 5, a sprucing up of the rooms would see it over the line, but the good things about this hotel far outweigh the niggles

After working very hard for the company my wife works for she was rewarded with a virgin voucher . We choose to visit this hotel we phoned Up to book a Friday night stay to be told all Fridays and Saturdays are fully booked for the for seeable future by a very abrupt man . Told to look for something else as this was a popular hotel . On putting phone down I immediately went to hotel website and went through the availability on the hotels webpage to surprise surprise it would allow me book a Friday night if I was paying . Clearly the company have a policy not to accept virgin vouchers

We stayed for 3 nights in July along with friends and family who had joined us to celebrate our wedding which we held at the hotel. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend as wedding venue or as a place to stay whilst enjoying the beautiful village and surrounding area.

Lovely location and facilities. Great food. Spa relaxing with excellent and attentive staff. Room comfortable. Recommend parking at the front and dropping luggage then driving to park at the rear of the gardens. Be aware of the 10% service charge which states food and beverage only but is charged on entire bill. Would stay again

I visited Oxford for the day and decided to stay at this hotel because it offered significantly better value for money than the other hotels in the city. It was only a short drive away, and the setting in the beautiful Cotswolds area was stunning. The rooms are set up as mini apartments on three levels, each with a balcony. The room we stayed in was spacious and well-equipped, with a huge bed, a couch lounge area, and a bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, with the exception of a slightly small TV on the opposite side of the room from the bed.The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful, and they gave us our keys right away when we arrived. Overall, we had a lovely stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to others.

This is a really lovely hotel. Probably the best place to stay i Chipping Campden. Our room was very cozy and spacious with an amazing bathroom with a great view from the bathtub. Very clean and nice everywhere. The breakfast was very nice to especially the cooked breakfast with lots to choose from. The staff was very friendly, and they helped us change our reservation to a bigger, better and cheaper deal. A great place to start your hike on the Cotswolds Way.

I booked a last minute getaway hoping to have a relaxed day/night in the Loughborough ‘suite’ but sadly the expectations set from the website did not match reality. Pros - The hotel is well situated for exploring the Cotswolds and the gardens are lovely. I can’t comment on the spa as we did not use it. We did receive help with our luggage to our suite. The hot tub was ready and working on arrival. Cons I booked a package which included a food and drinks allowance. There was no information provided on how to spend this or any acknowledgment that this was included. No instructions for the hot tub given just told to press programme button. Room was much more than ‘shabby chic’ with one of the sofa cushions was not even done up. This is much removed from the luxurious decor cited on the website. (See photo) Fire looked inviting and we wanted to return from our evening meal with it lit. There was no mention on the website that the fires are only winter season. When I made the request I was informed the chimney hadn’t been swept so it was not possible to have the fire lit. According to the website this is a ‘tranquil suite with a ‘roaring’ log fire perfect for when you need a little extra indulgence’ but apparently only if you visit at the right time. Breakfast - We requested breakfast to be delivered to the ‘suite’ and ordered via the form. We (wrongly) made the assumption we would be given some cold buffet items also or at least asked whether we would like tea or coffee with our breakfast. The English breakfast delivered was hot and an adequate portion size but nothing special. If you are an electric car driver and you are relying on the car chargers working or receiving any help to get them working I would not stay at this hotel. I advised front of house of the issue on the day of arrival and was simply told to keep trying all 3 chargers and keep plugging and unplugging. Again not the ‘extra bit of indulgence and cosy hospitality’ I was hoping for and promised on the website. I was given a discount from our bill which was appreciated due to the inconvenience but the issue could have been handled much better. I totally understand covid has hit the industry hard but basic customer service skills have to be a must in a four star hotel At £388 night inc the food and drink voucher I would have expected much more and although we are planning to return to the cotswold we will stay elsewhere next time.

The service at the hotel was 5 star and I cannot fault it and the location is excellent. However, the room we had was very tired, with paint peeling off the walls and scuff marks all over the woodwork and walls. The blind in the bathroom was filthy and there was a big hole in the wall behind the towel rail. It was such a shame as the room was big, the bed was comfortable and the shower was really nice and powerful. But I really don't think the hotel should be putting guests in the room we stayed in, due to the state of the walls, woodwork and blind. It is not what you expect from an 'award-winning' hotel.

My friend and I had a spa day today and the Spa itself is good. We had a warm welcome from professional staff. We were given everything we needed. The treatments were good and very enjoyable. We did not get the feeling we were being shuffled out or that they wanted us to leave in a hurry. We were just left to take it at our own pace. However. The hotel side of it was a bit of a let down. At 16:30 we had a cream tea booked in, which was delicious, though not enough jam……we’d both missed lunch and wanted a sandwich but they refused to make us one unless we upgraded to a full afternoon tea each, which we didn’t want. The service was extremely questionable. I would return but only for the spa services.
