Eight Bells Inn
Church St, Chipping CampdenWe went to the Eight bells for Dinner as we were staying in the area and it was recommended by our hosts. The food was delicious and hot. The staff were very accommodating and the service was excellent to the point that we dined at the Eight bells the following evening and again the service and food could not be faulted.

Michael's Mediterranean Restaurant
High St, Chipping CampdenWe booked a table on Monday. The staff were helpful and warned us that the portions were sizeable as we don't like food waste. We shared the starter of the jambon croquettes and we both had the chicken and chorizo cassoulet. The cassoulet was amazing with two chicken breast fillets and tons of chorizo. It was certainly a challenge to finish. We were both full and although the desserts looked delicious and tempting, we couldn't fit another thing. The next day, we couldn't see any other restaurant that we fancied so we went back to Michael's.Fore warned, we just had four starters: the Octopus , beetroot salad, jambon croquettes and the Moules marinière.We weren't disappointed with our choices. The Octopus was perfectly cooked and not chewy, the salad was light and tasty and the mussels were very generous.I cannot recommend Michael's enough. Delicious food, friendly staff and a great choice of Mediterranean food.Booking is recommended as they get full very quickly. Dogs are welcome

The Ebrington Arms
May Ln, Ebrington, Chipping CampdenWe stayed for a night in January and had dinner and breakfast at the cozy pub. The dinner menu is well curated featuring seasonal ingredients. Everything we ordered was delicious, fresh, and well balanced in flavors. The smoked trout appetizer was stunning, the burger was indulgent and the fish and chip was perfectly crispy but not greasy. The panna cotta dessert was silky smooth and light. The dining area is spacious and has a fireplace. Thanks for the hospitality!

The Red Lion Tavern
Lower High St, Chipping CampdenStopped in to check out what and if anything had been changed from the previous landlord.all I can say is wow ? new pool table upstairs, fruit machine in the bar and great new manager, very friendly and informative. The fact the restaurant is now separated from the pub area is awesome. Still serving the locals favorite beers and also offering the owners very own brand of vodka (sweet shop vodka) very tasty may I add. All round ten out of ten experience

Huxleys, Cafe & Brasserie
Island house, High St, Chipping CampdenSix of us arrived in Chipping Campden with all our bags and we couldn't get into the Air BnB for about 4 hours or so. We camped out at Huxley's and bought lunch and some other stuff later. Anyway they let us hang out there for a long time. We did move when a large group came in so we weren't getting in the way of their customers, but it was still nice. Also, we were worried about it raining and they said that they had a cover they could pull over if it did. Also, I thought the food was really good. They had good choices and it tasted great. We stayed in the town for about 4-days and I wanted to go back to Huxley's for dinner, but between us being busy and them closing early most nights, it didn't happen. I'll be there this summer and I will definitely go there at least once. Sorry it has taken me so long to do the review, because we were there last spring.

Cotswold House Hotel & Spa
Upper High Street The Square, Chipping CampdenWe can only comment on the coffee shop, where we enjoyed a hot chocolate drink which was served very hot (which in our experience is unusual) but good news, it was accompanied by a small biscuit. Good service but a tad expensive at £4.50/drink.

Bistro on the Square, Campden
The Square Upper, High St, Chipping CampdenBrilliant food, phenomenal staff. Johan, our waiter for the evening was possibly the nicest person I've ever met, couldn't do enough for us, the most caring of people and really made our evening a delight. We've eaten here twice, they've changed the recipe for the twice baked souffle and to be honest this version wasn't as nice, still good but the first one (with cheese sauce) was unbelievable! The staff are brilliant and so attentive, they brought us some truffles to celebrate our anniversary and the general ambience of the Bistro is first class. It's always a joy to eat here and every time we stay in Chipping Campden we make a point of eating at the Bistro!

Crystal Palace - Fish & Chips - Chinese Takeaway
13 Sheep St, Chipping CampdenOn holiday locally and found here via Google! Really lovely shop with pleasant service. Good food but the shredded chicken was a bit like pork scratching!! Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be. The duck was superb and the garlic butter fried rice was superb! Cash only but worth a visit.

Randall's Bar Brasserie at Three Ways House
Three Ways House, Chapel Ln, Mickleton, Chipping CampdenA group of around 20 bellringers spent 3 nights here. We had a very reasonable package including breakfast and three course evening meal. Having read some TA reports, I was a little apprehensive of what had been booked for us. I shouldn’t have, because everything was excellent. My brother and I shared a large twin room in one of the extensions which had plenty of space ( Room 39) and a large sofa, with no outside noise interference. The breakfast was to a high standard, and vegetarian sausages were available on request. Decor was fine throughout, evening meal choices were very good. We were impressed by the skills of the chefs, who obviously hadn’t been taught using the ping-ping microwave way. Many items were obviously home made, and they excelled on the sweets. Would definitely stay here again, and even the American visitors didn’t talk too loud, and they get a lot. Definitely worth a visit if staying in the Cotswold area.

The Bakers Arms
Angel Ln, Broad Campden, Chipping CampdenA traditional pub in a lovely village with an open fire. 4 of us had Sunday lunch there. 3 had roast beef and one had steak pie. Unfortunately, all of the meals came on cold plates, so the roast beef and potatoes were cold to start off with. The roast beef was actually 2 small slices, so this did not represent good value. The steak pie on the other hand was very hot and a good size, but the plate was still cold. So all in all a bit of a mixed bag. We wouldn't recommend the roast, but the pie was good. Good choice of beers.
