We had an overnight stay in the carpark of The Butchers Arms pub in our Camper. As well as being campervan friendly, the pub is family run with very friendly staff, they serve a great range of ales and they offer a good range of home cooked food. Whilst parking is free, we took the option of electric hook up for a nominal fee to save using our gas for the heating; given the freezing outside temperatures it was probably a wise choice. We had a drink in the afternoon then we went back into the pub in the evening to sample their victuals. We can testify that the pies are scrumptious, the portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. By the time we had finished our meal along with a few drinks, we were well and truly stuffed. (Might have to leave the side orders next time.) The locals were friendly and we were even invited to join in some birthday celebrations though we had to decline on the grounds that a good night’s sleep awaited. We would recommend The Butchers Arms to anyone but particularly motorhome or campervan users as Mickleton village centre is a short stroll and there is plenty more in the region to explore if you fancy driving or using public transport. If however, your New Year’s resolution is to lose weight, you had better order your food from the children’s menu.

This is a fabulous, friendly place to drink and eat. Everyone was so friendly, the food was delicious. The setting is so lovely with real fires at both ends. It was a busy place so it shows you how appreciated it is. The owners and their 2 gorgeous dogs were lovely. I miss being there as there are not enough places like this anymore. Thank you all

Great local pub in Mickleton village. Just off the main road in the village, turning down the road opposite Morrisons Local shop.Traditional old style pub offering great pub grub and ales too.Had a 9 pin skittle alley to the rear and decent amount of seating inside and outside.Off road parking available to the side.Staff are really friendly and happy to advise on food, local places and beers tooTV in the bar showing sport as well.Great place

It was a private group booking in the skittles alley part of the pub. Food was variable. Excellent 1st course with good choice. However the desserts hadn't been allowed to defrost long enough and still too firm to push a spoon in. I had to ask to have my lemon meringue pie popped in the microwave - which they did. Others soldiered on with there's. One lady commented " I'm waiting for mine to reach room temperature ". We enjoyed playing skittles. The garden looked attractive. Tight parking, but enough.
