In the area on a short break. The Kings Arms was recommended to us. Cosy pub, open fire, friendly staff and locals made us welcome. Visited for dinner; we had the fillet steak and pan fried chicken. Honestly, the best pub food we have ever tasted The pub is very dog friendly too Not to be missed

Needing a relaxing casual meal out after the Christmas festivities we opted for the Kings Arms. We both chose the fillet steak and to be honest I couldnt fault it. The steak was well-seasoned, cooked to perfection (med rare for me), beautifully tender and really tasty with a good spicy jugful of green peppercorn sauce; the chips were chunky and delicious; the mushroom and tomatoes grilled nicely and I even ate all of the dressed salad !! All washed down with a lovely bottle of Chateau Musar Jeune which I was looking forward to trying as I hadnt seen that one before. Delicious! After a relaxing break the poached pear for dessert arrived . It was soft but not mushy at all and I thoroughly enjoyed the light refreshing finale. The whole meal wasnt rushed; the service was really friendly and attentive and it all made for a super evening out. We shall be back! Thank you all!

We were staying in Mickleton for Christmas and I booked a table for dinner. I had been in touch with Mike the landlord as one of our friends is vegan and this was not a problem. Anyway we had a great night and the food was lovely. Our waitress Holly was a star running and back and forth through the many punters with our food and drinks. There was a sing a long singer playing and the atmosphere was great. This is a really friendly pub, with lovely staff and locals who made us feel welcome. My kind of pub and wish it was my local!

After a disappointing Aniversery meal elsewhere we popped in to the Kings Arms for a drink and if possible a desert. We received a Great welcome we sat at the bar, as there were no tables available. Very warm welcome great desert. Very busy Thursday night but felt welcome even though we hadn't booked. Will definitely return for a meal.

Whilst staying in Mickleton for a week, we have been to Kings Arms for drinks and food. Superb Saturday night Christmas songs with Andrew James, excellent Sunday roast, welcoming evening drinks and a really good midweek meal. Friendly, chatty staff. Thank you.

Delicious food and great service from the staff. Great to visit in Winter when the fire is on and it’s all cosy.

Wonderful Sunday roast sat by a cozy fire on a wet winters day . Perfect way to spend a Sunday. The roast beef was cooked perfectly and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming with lots of happy people enjoying themselves. Will definitely be returning soon . Would highly recommend if you enjoy a good roast dinner in a beautiful country pub .

Good atmosphere, nice menu, all options good ones. Queried the bill for some drinks we didn't have and some missing. All changed no quibbles. Would definitely go again.

Surprisingly first time we've eaten here despite living in nearby village. Great Sunday lunch, attentive service and a cosy cheerful atmosphere. It reminded of us of how pubs used to be. We'll def be back.

We dined here Friday evening, and have done many times in the Summer (the outside is so beautiful & such friendly lovely staff on the bar outside !) The food was amazing, my partner had the fish and chips and I went for the mussels - both were delicious! All of the Staff were super friendly and helpful, we will definitely be back :)

I’m dismayed that after being offered the last table in the restaurant and ordering my food, I’m told I’ll need to move to the bar in 15 minutes as someone has booked it. In this situation the correct action is to tell the 2nd customer the table will be free in 30 minutes and offer them a seat by the bar until then. It’s restaurant management basics, if my staff had done this on my shift I’d be having stern words.

Have been a number of times as have family living in the next village. Anyway, had lunch with some wider family members. 3 of us chose the Blade of Beef from the specials menu. omg, absolutely superb in terms of quality, how it was cooked, and a generous portion. The whole meal was excellent in terms of the food, portion size and value. Looked expensive at first sight but superb value due to the above. Must add, staff were lovely as well, very friendly, smiley and attentive. Couldn't fault it, so highly recommended.
