How could you not like a country pub with a real dog bust on the wall wearing a muffler?Joking aside some of the best quality food out there with awesome settings in a country pub.Lovely for a cold drink in the summer also due to the location. Will return.

Had heard good things so popped in as we passed a sign for it. Great decision. Made very welcome, dog included, fabulous roast and very reasonably priced.

Matthew was great. He arranged a large table for us and had everything ready for when we arrived. The waiting staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough for you. Food was reasonably priced just unsure of the chips, think it may be that we weren't used to the potatoes they used. Good portion sizes. A little hot in the conservatory but it was during the very hot weather we had and Matthew did his best to keep it cool in there before our arrival. All in all a lovely experience.A little off the beaten track but worth a visit.Parking: nice big carparkKid-friendliness: child friendly. We used a highchair, would have prefered one with a tray as easier for my daughter to feed herself and not waste lots on the floor but did the job.Baby changing facilities were good, with a clean changing mat and anti bac spray provided to clean mat before use.

The hospitality for lunch was so welcoming. I really haven’t had such caring and focussed service for so long. You can tell they take pride in making people welcome and satisfied. I enjoyed the huge chicken burger :)

Once in a while you have a surprise and this was one of those occasions. It’s one of the best Sunday lunch we have had for a very long time.Looked on Google maps and found the the pub local to us where we were staying.Callled in without a reservation but still managed to get us in 2 adults and a dog they could not be more welcoming I don’t think we have met anyone more accommodating. Before we ordered food a fresh bowl of water and treats for our dog.The food was wonderful so fresh and tasty the manager was easy to talk to and so chatty without being over powering or intrusive. We will be back !Parking: Larger free parking

Genuinely I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. The staff were more than welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate us.The food was excellent and the feel of the palace was homely. Definitely a place worth stopping at.We will definitely be back.
