1 High St, Clearwell, ColefordThe pub was fully booked when 6 of us arrived, the staff were so accommodating, they allowed us to take a table temporarily whilst thier guests were not around, they went above and beyond to do what they could for us, nothing was too much trouble, fantastic staff would highly recommend, Scott is an asset to the establishment, 5star for Scott

Ordered arrived on time plus a phone call to say they where on just about to arrive,
The fish and chips were lovely and full of flavour,

Lord's Hill, ColefordMy family and I were here recently, this was a great local Italian restaurant, my son and nephew had a pizza and they loved it. They even brought us a slice of cheesecake on the house and it was great. Staff were incredibly nice and friendly. Very nice family run restaurant-definitely recommend.

Joyford Hill, ColefordWhat a lovely place! Friends of ours were staying close by so we met here for a meal. Very friendly owner named Matt who was attentive and friendly.
Great dog friendly pub with a good selection of food, even for me as a coeliac (gluten free)
Would definitely recommend the GF shortbread that accompanies the crème brûlée, delicious! ?

We had a great time, pints of Bristol Brewery Summer Crush was a winner for me lovely selection of white wines for my wife.Highly recommend if you like craft ales.

Kaplan's Cafe In Coleford
38-40 Market Pl, ColefordNeeded some food after a walk at Puzzlewood. Greeted warmly by a waitress who immediately cleared our table as the previous occupants had just left. Ordered a Turkish dish which had steak, tomato and pepper sauce with rice and chips. The flavour was amazing and portion plentiful. Good coffee too. Very friendly and positive atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Many reviewers praise the staff for being lovely, friendly, and welcoming. The food gets consistently positive feedback: scones, cakes, light lunches, cream teas, breakfasts, and paninis are often described as delicious, fresh and prepared with love.

Station Rd, Milkwall, ColefordOnly stopped by briefly on a Saturday lunchtime. It was quiet. But the pub was beautiful, the barman was friendly and the beer was great. They have a decent pool table, and the whole place has a really welcoming locals' local vibe to it. Will definitely be coming

Market Pl, ColefordSpent a very nice evening here listening to a band playing live and enjoying the atmosphere. This nicely decorated pub has plenty of seating, several discrete areas, nice toilets and friendly staff. A great place to spend a Saturday night!

Lower Ln, ColefordGood honest pub food in a local pub. We had the Gamekeeper pie and Steak and Kidney pie and it was tasty and plentiful. Fantastic value for money and the gravy was amazing. Had pool table in separate bar and football playing on the small TV where we sat which was good for us. Dog friendly too.

The Rocks, Clearwell, ColefordThe Lamproom Cafe is a nice cafe right next to the Clearwell Caves. A good spot to eat with family and kids before going to visit the caves. The cafe also has a nice outdoor space, a picnic area and a park for children. Highly recommend if you are in the area with children.

Although you were not doing food you did supply us with menus of local delivery take aways ( the kebabs were excellent and huge) you even offered to set up a table for us to eat. The best chinese takeaway I can remember having! Hot, tasty, crispy! There was a long wait, but clearly there's a reason why! Just order early!

Beechenhurst Cafe
Speech House Road, Broadwell, ColefordVisited on a very busy bank holiday Monday, so there were a lot of people ordering food and drink. Despite this, the service was great and food came out quickly. Had run out of plant based sausage rolls unfortunately. Cakes were lovely. Nice large cups for the tea. Loved that it was super dog friendly, with frozen yoghurt available to cool our pup down after the sculpture trail walk.
Howie was very welcoming and friendly. Only recommendation would be to have umbrellas available for all tables, for a space to cool down on a warmer day.

The hospitality, food, and atmosphere lacked nothing—every detail was spot on. A special thank you to the staff for being so gracious and even letting us take a sprig of rosemary home with us! It’s those small, thoughtful touches that make a place stand out. Highly recommended!

Decor could do with looking at though with the atmospheric setting being a bit bland, thus 4 stars instead of the full 5.

Forest Hills Golf Club
Mile End Rd, ColefordWe stayed in nearby lodges next to the golf club. We came to Forest hills for a Sunday lunch and drinks. We found really lovely staff, and great food. Nice hot fresh bread rolls served with all our starters. Roast beef and pork all served with good veg and a cauliflower cheese. Staff excellent, nice and welcoming. We didn't use the golf facilities, but can recommend for a good dinner.

The Cross, Church Rd, Clearwell, ColefordThis is akin to the first pub I was taken to, in 1953 in Hertfordshire.No bright lights just warm and welcoming. If you want to sit and think, you can. If you want a natter over your pint, then your hosts will provide good conversation and a huge knowledge of beer and the brewing industry. A constantly changing beer selection and no musak. This pub is spot on perfect.
