Went here while staying close by and hadn’t been for 25 years so wanted to bring back old memories.The food here is just outstanding. Every single part of our meal was utter perfection. The scotch egg starter was unreal! The most beautiful sirloin steak with a mouth watering blue cheese sauce. This is possibly the nicest food I have eaten in 15/20 years.Service from Scott was excellent.We will definitely return and recommend to anyone we speak to.Wish I could rate higher than 5! Hate off guys!

Had a brilliant quiz night. Fantastic atmosphere, everyone was was on form and we raised a bundle for the poppy appeal. Would definitely come here again for the atmosphere alone, cider was pretty good to be fair as well. Hopefully see the inside again soon.

Hot, tasty and full of flavour. Not greasy and it was all cooked fresh to order. Very friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Everything we ordered was eaten with nothing left which is a sign of how good it was. Would definitely recommend.

Only stopped by briefly on a Saturday lunchtime. It was quiet. But the pub was beautiful, the barman was friendly and the beer was great. They have a decent pool table, and the whole place has a really welcoming locals' local vibe to it. Will definitely be coming

Congratulations to the Tudor Farmhouse team. Superb hotel with great service, lovely surroundings in a small village and a top quality dining experience. The head chef Gavin stopped to chat with us after his shift and was delighted to tell us about his produce, menu and wines. The front desk and bar team were a pleasure and couldn't do enough - producing a bespoke walk of the local footpaths. The rooms were presented to a very high standard with excellent mattress, pillows and bedding. Highly recommended for a lazy culinary weekend or active walking and sights of the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Thank you. Paul & Julia CRooms: Well priced, clean and high standard.Nearby activities: Wye Valley and main Forest of Dean sights all in 5km drive.Safety: Very safe. We ate here on the evening of the 23rd March. We both ordered the lamb rump with dauphinoise potatoes and roasted vegetables, which was extremely well cooked and seasoned. What a beautiful country pub. Open fire and wonderful atmosphere. Matt the manager gave us a wonderful welcome and we only popped in for a drink but saw the food coming out and it looked too good not to order some.The food was phenomenal! Stayed on a Monday night while visiting family near by. What a find!! Lovely rooms and great food being served on the "pot luck " half price Monday evening service. Staff were friendly and efficient , nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent, localy sourced bacon and sausages which tasted superb. Best breakfasts we have had while staying away for a long time. We will definitely be staying here again when visiting family in the Forest.

This is a fantastic transformation from the dive it was two years ago. The interior has been tastefully renovated, toilets top-notch and the beer garden has been a great addition. This is akin to the first pub I was taken to, in 1953 in Hertfordshire.No bright lights just warm and welcoming. If you want to sit and think, you can. If you want a natter over your pint, then your hosts will provide good conversation and a huge knowledge of beer and the brewing industry. A constantly changing beer selection and no musak. This pub is spot on perfect.
