Congratulations to the Tudor Farmhouse team. Superb hotel with great service, lovely surroundings in a small village and a top quality dining experience. The head chef Gavin stopped to chat with us after his shift and was delighted to tell us about his produce, menu and wines. The front desk and bar team were a pleasure and couldn't do enough - producing a bespoke walk of the local footpaths. The rooms were presented to a very high standard with excellent mattress, pillows and bedding. Highly recommended for a lazy culinary weekend or active walking and sights of the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Thank you. Paul & Julia CRooms: Well priced, clean and high standard.Nearby activities: Wye Valley and main Forest of Dean sights all in 5km drive.Safety: Very safe. Off road parking, electric charging.Walkability: 1km - 10km country walks and footpaths all around.Food & drinks: High end culinary experience and boutique hotel style dining. Head Chef Gavin is very knowledgeable and friendly.Noteworthy details: Book your dinner reservation as the restaurant books up fast and is very popular.

I was expecting the food to be excellent but it was very mediocre. The staff were very nice though.

I booked three nights here for my girlfriends 27th birthday- it was a perfect combination of relaxation and good cuisine. The location is a great HQ to go on long, winding walks in the local area; knowing that there was a good meal at the end of it certainly gave us peace of mind! The staff were very accommodating, and offered us advice to where to walk/visit. The food was very well done, both the breakfast and dinners. With a plethora of options for dinner, we were spoilt for choice. All around a great weekend!

I stayed here overnight for a funeral in the area. I'm very glad I did. What a brilliant stay. It exceeded my expectations in all departments.Firstly they were very accommodating to my request for late check out. I was shown to my room. I booked the smallest room but it was still pretty big, very high ceilings, high quality fixtures and fittings. Good size bathroom with huge shower. Coffee machine and tea in room. Flannels provided! Hooray! Bedding all of the best quality. And they have 2 electric car chargers in the car park.Food exceptional. Best mackerel I've ever had. Lovely breakfast.I know it seems expensive but for what you get it is actually very good value. Couldn't fault the place, from food, to the room to the service. Highly recommended.

Absolutely faultless.Accommodation, food, service, location and, most importantly, all the staff at Tudor Farmhouse Hotel & Restaurant, especially Nicola and Dawson, made our stay perfect.Thank you so much.My wife and I can’t wait to return :0)Rooms: Cleaned, furnished, equipped and maintained to an extremely high standard.Nearby activities: All that the Forest of Dean has to offer.Food & drinks: Delicious. Some of the best meals my wife and I have ever had.Noteworthy details: Lots of little touches, e.g. range of hot drinks in bedrooms, choice of non-feather bedding, food allergies asked about (and remembered) throughout our stay.

Great Sunday lunch ?

My husband and I spent Christmas at the Tudor Farmhouse with four of our children. The entire stay was absolutely wonderful. From the rooms to the staff to the food, nothing could be faulted. We also brought a four month old retriever puppy who was treated like royalty. A lot of hotels claim to be dog friendly, but this one went over and above our expectations. Geoff, our Boxing Day walk guide, was terrific and shared with us lots of local knowledge. We would like to mention Katy, Sammy and Dawson who looked after us all so well. Thank you.

Nice atmosphere in a cosy village for Christmas. We went for Christmas dinner and it was very nice overall but the portions were quite small, especially the starter, and slightly overpriced for the amount of food. Good quality though and cosy area!

Very nice place with an excellent restaurant - old room with bags of character, we found it warm and cosy, perhaps a little too warm? - but we had a good stopover (1 night only)

Had a wonderful Christmas lunch with a large group of friends. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I was very impressed with the selection of vegan options available. I was also pleased to see a good variety of alcohol free drinks. Thank you for a fantastic afternoon.

Beautiful place. Food was lovely although they didn't do roast potatoes to go with the roast dinners, They served us chips instead cause they don't cook roast potatoes on an evening, which I found bizarre for the amount of money they took from usIt's more for couples due to it being very small. So a large party like we had, was hard to fit us all inOverall, nice experience I don't think I would go backRooms: Rooms are lovely and very clean
