“What a lovely little find, fell in love almost instantly with such a warm and inviting atmosphere.
It was quite busy so we were relieved to find a table free.
Regulars at the bar engaged in conversation and pleasantries, staff were so friendly and helpful.
Beer was delicious and served in spotlessly clean glasses.
Food was absolutely dynamite, I had the chilli beef strips which were melt in your mouth, my partner had sausage with bubble & squeak which was a tower of food, child had popcorn chicken in a basket - all huge portions, piping hot, nicely presented and served with a smile.

Booked for Sunday Lunch there and then. Delighted again on our return visit. Roast Beef with huge homemade yorkie puds. Child went for giant yorkie filled with veggies which was enormous!

A charmingly historic pub with beautiful old architecture, from its low beams to uneven floors. Beyond its age, the staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, creating a truly pleasant atmosphere. A great spot for history and hospitality!”
