“We've popped in a few times recently, once on a Saturday afternoon and then again today, Monday 29th July. On both occasions, we stopped for lunch.

Today, we shared a chicken, bacon and mayo sandwich on granary. A really nice sandwich and plenty for the two of us to share. Our son had a turkey and stuffing sandwich, again on granary; a little dry, he said which couod have done with some sauce, possibly cranberry. The granary bread is lovely and when they say doorstep sandwich it definitely is. Our lunch was accompanied by a packet of crisps, a bottle of water, a raspberry smoothie and a medium latte.

The service was very good on both our visits. The 'booths' are a little tight for four, a bit of a squeeze, but it's always clean and the staff busy. The fresh butchers section has a great range of sausages and meats.

We spent just over £20; a little pricey but for the quality of sandwich and service I'd say that it's pretty much par for the course these days - and you won't get the same quality sandwich at a national coffee shop chain.
