Stopped for a bite to eat and ordered a regular breakfast with a latte for both my wife and I. There are some tables outside but we ate inside which is well decorated and very clean. You order your food or drinks from the counter giving them your table number. There is plenty of choice with small, regular or large breakfast or maybe a breakfast bap is more your thing. We went for the regular and I have to say, they were very generous portions and a small would probably have been a better choice for us. The lattes were served in tall class cups and hot. Definitely recommend. Regular breakfast £7.50, large lattes £3.30

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at The Wheatstone Inn, and it was truly a great experience, thanks to Chef Vincent and our server Sam.

Chef Vincent went above and beyond, personally preparing a perfectly cooked Sirloin steak. The steak was simply amazing—tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. You could tell it was prepared with care and expertise. It was truly one of the best steaks we've ever had in Gloucester.

Our server, Sam, was equally outstanding. He was incredibly attentive, ensuring that we got everything we needed and gave some great suggestions. Sam was great friendly, and hospitable throughout the entire meal, making us feel right at home. Great positive energy from the team running this Pub, great atmosphere, making the evening even more special.

Between Chef Vincent’s talent and Sam’s exceptional service, it was a memorable experience from start to finish. We will be back!

This is possibly the best Indian Restaurant I have ever eaten in.

The menu is shorter than most (which is a good thing as they can do each dish really well), and each dish I’ve tried (over 10 visits now) has been exquisite. The flavours are really well balanced, the food is cooked perfectly, and the service is attentive but not intrusive; they also understand when you want a slow meal and are happy to set the pace accordingly.

Drinks are reasonably priced and the wine by the glass are decent wines (which is rare in an Indian Restaurant).

Often use the drive thru with my elderly mum who loves a Mac D. Late mornings we usually get served by a lovely lady who is always helpful, efficient and multi tasking, I don't know how she does it. Rare to find someone who has time to exchange a few cheery words during a busy job but it makes all the difference. Never fails to offer great service. This one member of staff makes us select this branch over others. I hope she gets recognised for her hard work because working in Mac D's is a tough job, I know because I worked in one of their first UK branches back in the day!

This was probably the best steak I've ever eaten.. came with chips and salad and a dressing... The steak was absolutely melt in your mouth... Locally reared.... Just goes to show how good local produce can be.... Staff were above and beyond friendly as well.... It's not Cheep.. but not over priced... Just goes to show you do get what you pay for.... ???

Fantastic Food, the naan breads are top notch. Good prices too. I only gave 3 stars for service because the young woman serving failed to say the plates were very hot, so myself and another member of our group got scolded. Atmosphere is fine, there seemed to be an odd smell every now an then which reminded me of drains. Overall for the price and food quality I'd recommend it. It's also BYOB (Bring your own Booze) and there are shops nearby to get some. Parking is a bit hit and miss, so if you can't park out of the front, you may have to find parking in the business estate. That'll only take you 2 minutes or so to walk to and from.

We visited Nepalese Chef for dinner this evening and it was a wonderful experience! The servers were so friendly and attentive. The food was as incredible. We started with the popadoms which were authentic and delicious. For our mains we had the Cchate Milan and Mango Keshari with garlic fried rice, chips and peshwari naan. Both curries were cooked to perfection and it was definitely the best peshwari naan I had ever tried! We are both vegetarians and were delighted to see that most curries were able to be made vegan! This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be coming back and bringing our friends and family! Brilliant service and great prices too.

On Northgate Street in Gloucester a few paces from the center of the city where the Roman North, South, East & Westgate streets cross. They have a good selection of coffee shop fayre. On my last visit I had a toasted tea cake that was about 170MM in diameter! Great with the coffee. There's lots of seating & when open, there's an upstairs area too. We were close enough to the window to watch the world go passed on the street. Opposite the coffee shop is "The Jet Age" statue of a man stood covering his ears - because the tapering cylinder he's stood on is a jet engine, which was invented & first built in Gloucester.
So whilst you're enjoying your coffee & considering how the jet engine changed the world, you can plan the rest of your trip in the city to see much it has to offer by way of the Roman remains, the Cathedral or the docks.

Wanted to say thank you to Phoebe and Rebecca today, as my husband has new intolerances and it's so difficult to know what to do, they were so efficient and got a folder out to show us what he can and can't have. Thank you so much for all your help and my husband loved the coconut milk in his hot chocolate and also the lemon drizzle cake was beautiful.

I an a support worker and i took one of my residents in for a coffee and cake. I didnt realise that you can only pay by card. The resident i took in was a vulnerable adult and can only use her card in the bank. The.manager and her staff were amazing and waived the fee. This was such a kind gesture that you rarely get in this day and age. It was very much appreciated, so Thank you.?
This was definitely Customer service at its best! ?

This place is a diamond! We’d give it ten stars if we could. Delicious home made food, incredible service. We left feeling warm and rosy inside, energised to discover more of Gloucester. We had a delicious huevos rancheros, triple cheese toastie with coleslaw and pickle, basil beans on toast and a build your own breakfast. Everything was exquisite.. all four of us were delighted with our food☺️

Came here for the comedy night (which was great!!). Slightly disappointed by the lack of artisan beer and real ale tbh. There are many other local breweries than 'Wye Valley' not to offend but SO sick of Butty Bach! Please consider expanding on your offer akin to The Pelican. Otherwise beautiful pub with really nice staff. Would love to return.

Fantastic service and amazing staff. We came into the cafe after our fundraising walk for Dementia. The staff were so friendly, kind and accommodating and the food was excellent. We were so well catered for and so was Luna the Labrador who had joined us for our trip. Luna thanks you very much for the water and dog treats! We will definitely be visiting again. A very stereotypical cafe which is exactly what we like. You can order one of their set breakfasts (of which there are several different ones to choose from) or you can make your own up if preferred. They also do meals and ot just breakfasts. We got a table with no problem, it got quite busy whilst we were there but there were still places to sit. Hot food, definitely cooked to order rather than sitting on a warming-plate. Fair pricing and a clean cafe too.

The best toasties ever, without a doubt!!

Travelled from Cardiff to the Forrest or Dean and took a half an hour detor to get one of the most amazing toasties!! Rang on our way to pre order as we were due 10 minutes before closing. Had to ring after a little while to say we weren't going to make it (stuck in the M5 closure) but he said not to worry and ring when we were closer.
We arrived 50 minutes after closing time to perfectly cooked, hot toasties. We were so greatful as we were starving and had a very hungry 3 year old in tow!! Saved the day!! Thank you so much ?

Great local boozer. Louise & the guys made us all feel really welcome whilst we stayed locally for Cheltenham Festival. Highly recommend if you want an easy atmosphere while you have a game of pool and watch the football (which was played on 3 or 4 screens).

The Kingsholm Inn (the Jockey) is a great traditional pub that's been updated to a good standard and has managed to retain the good atmosphere and decent beers at a sensible price which it's always been renowned for. The 2 ladies who run this establishment do so with a great passion and even at its busiest you still don't have to wait too long so I would say match day or any other day give this pub a try and you won't be disappointed .

Was taken to this cafe this week by my friend from work and it made me feel right at home with proper fresh home cooked food from cajaun chichen salad with all the trimmings to cottage pie that's my choice so far and plan on going through the menu as it has a great range of meals! the breakfast is so tempting but if I was not staying away from home in hotel I would defo want to smash them down. it reminds me of being at home in there friendly staff and customers are so easy to chat to a proper place to be proper happy boshhhh

The best local rugby club in the city. Fantastic age group teams for every age, U6s through to Colts (U18s) with excellent coaches and professional medical teams on hand.
Lots of community events like Halloween/fireworks, Xmas parties, Easter egg hunts and sportsman's dinners.
Skittles and darts in the clubhouse with reasonably priced food and drinks.

Fabulous find for a birthday lunch. Beautiful old pub with outstanding food, a great wine menu and real ale and cider on cask.

The service is terrific and personal, the atmosphere was very much of a local village pub with a classy edge. This place is a real find and one we will visit many times now we’ve found it. I almost didn’t do a review because I wanted to keep it a secret it’s that good. It’s everything a great British country pub should be.

We spent some time in Gloucester yesterday and came to look at the Cathedral. This little place was nearby so we popped in for a drink. The lad came over to us and explained that he was very sorry but he could only do takeaway drinks as they were due to shut at 3pm. It was 2.57pm. Not a problem for us at all and it was nice he offered rather than just saying he couldn't help us.
He was very polite as was the other girl that was working with him. Shame we didn't get there earlier as the cakes looked good but if we return to Gloucester we will pay it another visit.
