We were lucky enough to be given an afternoon tea at the March Hare as a gift. The staff, service and food were all excellent. All was freshly prepared for us and nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be going back

Tried for first time and nicest fast food type food I’ve had, couldn’t recommend it enough. Would recommend the ranch tenders and the french latte was the nicest I’ve ever had. Look forward to returning again and wish we had one in my home county.

Settebello Trattoria

Love this restaurant, it's like visiting family when I eat here as the food is from the same region as my relatives! Very tasty, traditional Italian food. Lunch time menu is very reasonably priced and portion size is generous! The home made tiramisu was delicious ?

Spago Gloucester

Excellent throughout!
We were here on a Saturday evening to enjoy some Tapas. We were warmly welcome. We had ordered five Tapas between the two of us. They came in small pans and were very delicious and the taste was very authentic, too.
The service was very nice, attentive and effective!
Most of the restaurant is accessible by wheelchair. The adapted toilet is big enough and well equipped with grabrails.

Avenue

A charming, cosy pub tucked away in a quiet corner. They offer an impressive selection of food and drinks, but the real standout is the hospitality. The service is incredibly warm and friendly; Martine and the rest of the crew were absolutely superb. Highly recommended!

The Ship Inn

Went for a late valentines meal this evening and the food was spectacular.

Cafe 72

Very nice cafe in Gloucester High Street that offers a convenient and friendly place to grab a cup of coffee, some sandwiches, meals or something sweet. I have been there a couple of times now and both times had a positive experience. Staff are friendly and helpful and happy to answer any questions. Coffee is good, the sandwiches and food looks good too (I haven’t tried it yet) and their smoothies are really delicious.

Trojan Café

Great food. The cafe has had a slight improvement with the design and the menus, I would ask to bring back the 'trojan special' - as a weekly special on a separate wall. As 'trojan special' was iconic for the customers who has stayed loyal to this place.

Topoly's Italian

We went to Topolys Saturday Evening for a friend's Birthday & WoW just from walking in the door the restaurant was so warm & inviting & packed.
We were taken to our table for 7 people upstairs which was lovely too.
A lovely atmosphere & such lovely & polite staff. We all ordered drinks then food from the wide selection on the menu. The food arrived and was on hot plates & hot food which was delicious ? we later ordered desserts & coffees.
We All enjoyed our evening & will deffinately be returning to this lovely family run business. 10/10 to you All

Food here is brilliant. Great burgers and mixed grill. Credit to the chef eaten here a few times. Considering I live 5 miles away and I have an option of around 8 pubs I always come here to eat if I fancy a pub dinner. Jayden always behind the bar great service and always with a smile.

It really makes me happy to visit such 'community' feeling venues! No big chain, one in/one out, generic menus, mass produced microwave sludge called food... proper friendly conversations, fresh hot food, for a quick pick up or stop with friends, lovely urban surroundings, good atmosphere and clean.

Charlies kebabs

I stopped by Charlie’s Kebab Van recently, and it was a great experience. I had an appointment nearby, so I decided to grab something to eat—and I’m glad I did. The food was fresh, well-cooked, and full of flavor. The service was friendly and efficient, making the whole experience even better.

It’s clearly a popular spot with the locals, as there was a steady stream of customers, which is always a good sign. Another plus is the big free car park, making it super convenient to stop by without worrying about finding a space.

Overall, if you’re looking for a tasty, quick, and reasonably priced meal, Charlie’s Kebab Van is definitely worth a visit!

INDIA ZONES

Without a doubt the best Indian restaurant in Gloucestershire. Had a wonderful meal to celebrate my 60th birthday with my wife this evening. Lamb shank was fantastic and the presentation on each plate was beautiful. The food reminds me of my business travels to New Delhi. It was also nice to have low background music to allow conversation. You must try this excellent restaurant. We will be back!

New Dawn Inn

The New Dawn Inn catered for us for a family funeral. With over 150 people attending , the team couldn't have done more for us. The food was delicious and the service wonderful. All at a very fair price. We will definitely be back for happier occasions

The service was amazing and the whole menu was completely gluten free which meant there was a large variety of choices. Would totally recommend and will probably be back!!!!

Lovely food and really good customer service. We had not booked, but despite being busy with Christmas groups, we were given a table - thank you very much.\nDue to being busy with the pre-booked Christmas parties, there was a little wait for our starters - our server came over and apologised and offered us a complimentary cocktail by way of apology. Really really kind and greatly appreciated!\nFood we had was: prawns, chicken strips, burata pasta and salmon on pesto risotto - all dishes were lovely.\nThe complimentary cocktail I had was the Lemon drizzle Martini - OMG! Absolutely to die for!\nWe will definitely return

Rose & Crown Village Pub (Eat-Sleep-Drink-Takeaway)

After dropping a car off at the garage in Bromsberrow we spotted the blackboard advertising the pub and thought we’d try it. Staff were so friendly and helpful- we caught the last of the evening sun in the garden and came inside for our meal. We were very comfortable in the surroundings and 3 clean plates showed we enjoyed the food such a variety of choices to make the meal just as we wanted. Thank you. We will be back.

Ive been here a few times now and all the staff have been really lovely and friendly. Cant thank the staff enough for making me up a delicious pizza, even though the kitchen had closed (as they were finishing up making a few others) id had a hard day's work and not had time to eat, their generosity made my day ☺️

We just visited here for bottomless pancakes and we’re very very pleased. The portion sizes are brilliant and the way they were plated was immaculate. We were lucky enough to have a wonderful waitress (Chloe) who also provided speedy and efficient service, Chloe was friendly and bubbly and made us feel very welcomed.

A big group of us went out and we were served at the bar by Tilly who was quick, efficient and funny!
We all had something to eat and nothing was too much trouble for Ed! Very attentive!

Often use the drive thru with my elderly mum who loves a Mac D. Late mornings we usually get served by a lovely lady who is always helpful, efficient and multi tasking, I don't know how she does it. Rare to find someone who has time to exchange a few cheery words during a busy job but it makes all the difference. Never fails to offer great service. This one member of staff makes us select this branch over others. I hope she gets recognised for her hard work because working in Mac D's is a tough job, I know because I worked in one of their first UK branches back in the day!

The Butchers Arms

The food and service here is rarely less than exceptional. Cosy atmosphere, some wonderful wines, friendly and attentive service, and beautifully judged food. Well balanced and creative dishes highlighting some excellent quality ingredients. Not cheap, but very good value for money considering the overall quality. We've been occasional visitors here for many years, and our most recent experience was excellent. If they were a bit closer to Malvern we would probably treat ourselves a little more often...!

Black Horse Inn

Visited for lunch during the week..just what you would want from a country pub. Super pint of Hook, 3 lovely meals all served by friendly staff. We booked but it wasn't necessary, dog friendly which is always a win in my book.

Portivo Lounge

Amazing food, like always, but what really stood out was the customer service! We brought in my blind, Disabled dog, as it’s amazingly pet friendly, but unfortunately we forgot his blanket for him to sit on, so he wouldn’t settle and we realised we were going to have to leave because he doesn’t like the hard wooden floor. However one of the guys at the bar (my boyfriend thinks his name was Jason or Jace, he didn’t 100% hear) put his freshly washed hoodie on the floor so my dog would have somewhere to lie down and we could stay. Amazing customer service, and so sweet, would 100% recommend this place! It’s perfect for your dogs and the staff clearly care ?

The Sword Inn Gloucester

One star on food because I didn't have any. Service was what I would expect one bar staff gave exceptional service. Atmosphere was lively but I definitely got the impression it had some idiots in the place that night. Imperial Inn

Visited Gloucester today to see the anti violence sculpture at the Cathedral and happened upon this little gem. Ollie and Tom are very welcoming and are bursting with passion and ideas for the future of the pub. Today was the first day they opened their doors after taking over and we cannot wait to return and experience the venue once they've settled. Good luck gents!

Hare & Hounds

Great pub. They have just got in a new chef 01/26 and the food has improved A LOT. I had the beef burger this week and it was cooked perfectly. Juicy and well seasoned. The Guinness is always good and the San Miguel is the best around. Staff are brilliant and you get a nice mix of people.

Kokoro Gloucester

It's a cozy place that's always warm and the food is great. Definitely recommend this for both eating alone and with friends. The sweet and sour chicken is perfect

The Linden Tree pub

Don't have any photos, only went in for a couple pints after a day out. But the staff were very friendly and there was plenty of space inside, smoking area is large and easy to access.

The plough inn Gloucester

A lovely, charming pub with a big yard with tents and picnic tables. Family and dog friendly. Had a fantastic Sunday roast (make reservation) with tender sirloin beef and all the accompaniments. Absolutely delicious. Onion rings excellent too. Lots of other menus items and a cream tea available. Full bar. Server Alex very efficient and personable. A most pleasant experience and reasonably priced.

The chicken and rice box is hands down the best—perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and the portion size is spot on. The chicken is juicy, the rice is fresh and well-seasoned, and the sauces just take it to another level. Consistently great quality every time I visit. Highly recommended for anyone craving a satisfying meal!

Ye Olde Restaurant & Fish Shoppe

9 of us dined in and enjoyed fantastic fish & chips. Lovely crispy batter and the chips were the best we’d had in a long time. It was also good to have a local beer (Stroud brewery) with the meal. The staff were very friendly and accommodating with excellent service. We had a highly enjoyable evening. Thank you!

CLEAN, friendly, good customer service, relaxing decor, GREAT outdoor space & AMAZING brownies/cakes selection. I have now been here 3 times and it has not failed to impress me, yet again. Megan was my contact to provide a buffet for my Dads wake in Gloucester. She was very responsive to queries. The food arrived neatly boxed. Everything was fresh, delicious and plentiful. The vegan options were excellent. Highly recommended

Chinese Kitchen

Can't say much on atmosphere as it's a takeaway! But the staff are lovely. And the food is amazing! I had the chicken with chestnuts and bamboo; which came with carrots and courgette. Cooked to perfection ? Singapore vermicelli isn't for everyone as it has a bit of a kick. I normally ask them to remove the prawns as taste like chlorine, but I forgot- and it was the best vermicelli I've had in years with tasty, fresh prawns! I'd highly recommend based on what I had.

Indian Memories

Main road was shut for repairs on this visit l so not many customers due to access, however staff were interactive friendly providing a warm welcoming environment.
Food tasted lovely, hot and the staff brought food out promptly serving us all well considering there was 10 of us, the staff took photos of our evening as requested to help our friend gather memories for her birthday.
A lovely evening overall and a reminder to stop ordering just eat takeaway and take a walk up to dine directly in the restaurant.
Will definitely go again over the next few months.

Love visiting this branch because of the warm welcome we always receive. The staff are an asset to the company—always kind, polite, and friendly, even when under pressure. I recently took the time to email head office about the staff here because of the exceptional level of service they provide.

Baburchi Cuisine

Fantastic Food, the naan breads are top notch. Good prices too. I only gave 3 stars for service because the young woman serving failed to say the plates were very hot, so myself and another member of our group got scolded. Atmosphere is fine, there seemed to be an odd smell every now an then which reminded me of drains. Overall for the price and food quality I'd recommend it. It's also BYOB (Bring your own Booze) and there are shops nearby to get some. Parking is a bit hit and miss, so if you can't park out of the front, you may have to find parking in the business estate. That'll only take you 2 minutes or so to walk to and from.

Brimble's Cafe

The pistachio slice and coffee was excellent but I need to come back 15 more times to sample the other cakes and food to be sure they deserve 5 stars. Is that petty? Well it won't be a chore because the vibe is good and as others say, service and smiles are too.

Probably the best beer and atmosphere in the city centre although limited to one brewery. Great bar staff. (Drunken Duck runner up or first if you prioritise overall choice. Great customer base in both)

The Royal Exchange

10 out of 10.
My partner and I wanted to eat out this afternoon and it being Mothers Day thought we had no chance of getting anywhere ad hoc. We googled some nearby country pubs and came across The Royal Exchange.
Car park looked a bit full but we entered anyway and were immediately greeted with a really friendly hello from the bar lady with a nice smile.

We asked if they had any free tables for 2 and she did her utmost to find us something, within 5 minutes we were seated. We chose the Pork Belly and Hereford Beef and all was cooked to absolute perfection. Drinks were brought very promptly.

I didn't have any doubts that the food would be good but I find British service sorely lacking these days - however I was blown away by how attentive, polite and professional the waiting team were and how welcome we were made to feel.

Another really lovely touch was the lady who brought us a Mothers Day daffodil which just made the experience stand out that little bit more.

Your team are an absolute credit and whoever trains them deserves a pay rise too!

Amazing toasties of all sorts of variety! Delicious, hot and deep-filled. A great lunchtime option for Gloucester. 2 minutes walk from Gloucester Quays and only 15 minutes from the city centre. Can thoroughly recommend the Swedish and the Hunters Chicken toasties.

Absolutely lovely place, My best Local spot Food is 10/10, Tariq, rose all the other staff are Family Friendly and all puts a smile on my face

The Gloucester Cake Company

Gemma's work is incredible!!! Our wedding cake was cancelled last minute and I called her up in an absolute panic. She reassured me she could create what I was looking for in time and she 100% came through on all of it. She gave me several options for flavour and gave her expert advice when needed. We had some chocolate animal skulls as toppers which she was happy to add. It was really easy to pick up and was nicely secured for the drive to the venue. It was beautiful AND delicious; not dry or too much icing, which I always worry about with my own baking! Incredible value for what I got and I was so happy to support an independent business like The Gloucester Cake Company ❤️

The Monk's Kitchen Cafe @ Gloucester Cathedral

Afternoon tea was amazing. Great choice of fillings for big, tasty sandwiches ( Stilton, walnut and cranberry, and chicken and bacon), home baked sweet treats ( scones, cream and jams, mocha loaf, and lime courgette cake), quiche and a big pot of tea, each.
The service was phenomenal. So friendly and chatty, I wanted them to pull a chair to join us haha. Tuesday pm was quiet and maybe some church or classical music would have boosted the atmosphere to a five, rather than silence when we were eating.
Cleanliness was spot on too. Looking forward to going back. Diolch!

The Roastery

I’ve eaten here on a number of occasions - lunch with friends, after passing my driving test, and brunch with my sister! Every time this place has not disappointed, with the most amazing food and drinks, a cute cosy atmosphere, and affordable prices.
I recently had a sausage roll with 2 side salads which was the perfect combination and portion size for lunch. All the food has been delicious and great quality, the staff are friendly and the room feels welcoming with WiFi, art, and local businesses selling their products too. Will definitely be coming back again!

England's Glory

England's Glory has been transformed since it was taken over and refurbished in 2023. The place looks fantastic – freshly painted outside, nicely decorated inside, and always spotlessly clean. It's got a proper, cosy pub feel with a log fire and plenty of comfy seating.

The staff are the real highlight here. Bob and Holly are always welcoming and up for a chat, and the rest of the team are just as friendly. It's the kind of place where you feel like a regular even on your first visit.

The beer is always well-kept, with Wye Valley's Butty Bach as a regular and usually a guest ale on tap. There's loads going on too – live music on weekends, a skittle alley, pool table, darts, and a quiz a couple of times a week. They've also got a nice beer garden for sunny days and are dog-friendly outside.

They do food as well, with generous portions of freshly prepared home-cooked meals at reasonable prices. A great all-rounder.

ZenV Garden & LotusV Ltd

I visited ZenV Garden today for the buffet and honestly, everything was amazing. I tried a bit of everything and the quality across all dishes was really impressive. My absolute favourite was the sweet and sour vegan chicken balls – the flavour and texture were spot on.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere inside was calm, pleasant, and relaxing – a really nice place to sit and enjoy your food.

Definitely recommend this place if you're in Gloucester, whether you're vegan or not. I’ll 100% be coming back.

Sebz

Lovely to return after a few years (we used to live nearby). A nice varied tapas-style menu with options for everyone. Friendly service, nice vibe and plenty of personal service. I feel sad that Sebz is stuck in a not very nice part of town; however it's well worth a visit and once you're inside you will have a great experience!

Oscar's Grill

Best kebab ever! The workers are so friendly and generous with the food. Everytime you eat here you know you’re going to bed with your belly full! Amazing, highly reccomend! :D

Caffe Corretto

Great place to have a drink and chill out and watch the world go by. Good atmosphere and friendly. I can't comment on the food as I didn't have any, but it looked amazing.

The Glevum Inn

Great place!! Always have the beef when having a roast here. You can eat it with a spoon it's that tender!! That staff are always great and the atmosphere is always welcoming!

Seymour Fryer

I was down in Gloucester on a short holiday from Scarborough, and I always like to have some fish and chips when I go on holiday. I love all fish, and like to try new types, so I ordered hake and chips. It's impossible to find hake in Scarborough (we don't have fresh fish shops in the town and local chippies don't sell it either). Fish was cooked to order, and the staff in the sop were friendly.
The food was really good, perfectly chips and fish in crispy batter. I would definitely have hake again.

Chamwell Café

Great family friendly little cafe with a good selection of hot food, I had a nice vege fry up. They have children's play equipment and books so ideal for toddlers

Cross Keys Inn

The Cross Keys Inn is a classic British pub with a warm, welcoming feel. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, perfect for enjoying a pint or a proper pub meal. The food is always fresh and hearty — great portions and full of flavour. Staff are attentive and make you feel at home right away. The interior has that cosy, traditional charm with wooden beams and a real fire in winter, and there’s also a nice outdoor area for sunny days. A genuine local gem — great food, great beer, and even better people.

Pizza Pizza

I recently ordered from Pizza Pizza, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! The ordering process was quick and easy, and the staff was friendly and efficient.

One thing that really stood out to me was how clean and well-maintained the place is. Even as a takeaway spot, they clearly prioritize hygiene and cleanliness, which is something I really appreciate.

When I picked up my order, the pizza was fresh and hot, and the aroma alone had me excited. The crust was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, yet soft and fluffy on the inside. The toppings were generous and bursting with flavor, clearly made with top-quality ingredients.

Despite being a takeaway, the pizza tasted like it was straight out of a high-end pizzeria. Pizza Pizza has definitely become my go-to spot for a great pizza night at home.

If you’re looking for delicious takeaway pizza from a clean and well-run establishment, I highly recommend giving Pizza Pizza a try. You won't regret it!

Love the food here. The only big issue is, they always forget the drinks! This restaurant uses their own drivers. My latest order - again was missing the drink. I told the driver the drink was missing, the driver said “I will come back with your drink” I’m still waiting… I may have to find a different kebab shop.

The staff are amazing and very welcoming everytime I visit this venue. The food is always tasty and very nicely presented. There is definitely something for everybody on the menu so, Give the CONCORDE CAFE try peeps, Gloucester's best breakfast venue by far.

Ali always friendly and food is freshly cooked, portion size is massive. The accompanying salads are fresh and diverse in flavours. Well recommended ? . Great service as always

Baker Street is a great spot with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The staff are friendly and always up for a chat, and the place has a nice mix of locals and visitors. Drinks are well priced, the food is tasty, and the atmosphere in the evenings is lively but never too loud. It’s the kind of place where you can grab a drink, catch some live music or just chill with friends. Clean, cosy and full of character – definitely worth stopping by.

As someone who’s Thai I fully recommend this restaurant! The staff are lovely and my food came out steaming hot! Fairly priced for the large portion sizes. Definitely coming here again ?
