We were lucky enough to be given an afternoon tea at the March Hare as a gift. The staff, service and food were all excellent. All was freshly prepared for us and nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be going back

Tried for first time and nicest fast food type food I’ve had, couldn’t recommend it enough. Would recommend the ranch tenders and the french latte was the nicest I’ve ever had. Look forward to returning again and wish we had one in my home county.

Settebello Trattoria

Love this restaurant, it's like visiting family when I eat here as the food is from the same region as my relatives! Very tasty, traditional Italian food. Lunch time menu is very reasonably priced and portion size is generous! The home made tiramisu was delicious ?

Trojan Café

Great food. The cafe has had a slight improvement with the design and the menus, I would ask to bring back the 'trojan special' - as a weekly special on a separate wall. As 'trojan special' was iconic for the customers who has stayed loyal to this place.

The Ship Inn

Went for a late valentines meal this evening and the food was spectacular.
Friendly staff go above and beyond - huge portions at a fair price!!!

We went to Topolys Saturday Evening for a friend's Birthday & WoW just from walking in the door the restaurant was so warm & inviting & packed.
We were taken to our table for 7 people upstairs which was lovely too.
A lovely atmosphere & such lovely & polite staff. We all ordered drinks then food from the wide selection on the menu. The food arrived and was on hot plates & hot food which was delicious ? we later ordered desserts & coffees.
We All enjoyed our evening & will deffinately be returning to this lovely family run business. 10/10 to you All

The staff and the good grub make this corner shop a DEFINITE go too when I'm working in the area. Tasty food, good selection and good service . 5 star all day long ✨️

The Pike And Musket

Food here is brilliant. Great burgers and mixed grill. Credit to the chef eaten here a few times. Considering I live 5 miles away and I have an option of around 8 pubs I always come here to eat if I fancy a pub dinner. Jayden always behind the bar great service and always with a smile.

Spago Gloucester

Excellent throughout!
We were here on a Saturday evening to enjoy some Tapas. We were warmly welcome. We had ordered five Tapas between the two of us. They came in small pans and were very delicious and the taste was very authentic, too.
The service was very nice, attentive and effective!
Most of the restaurant is accessible by wheelchair. The adapted toilet is big enough and well equipped with grabrails.

Seymour Cafe

It really makes me happy to visit such 'community' feeling venues! No big chain, one in/one out, generic menus, mass produced microwave sludge called food... proper friendly conversations, fresh hot food, for a quick pick up or stop with friends, lovely urban surroundings, good atmosphere and clean.

Burger Boi - Gloucester

Everything was top notch, the pickles were cut thicker than other places which made it so much better. The only downside was that the burger dripped so much grease which I hope got fixed.

Had an Amazing meal today, had a mega mixed grill, the chef done fantastic, I left feeling so full up I could nearly explode haha, jimmy and Erin served our food and was lovely and polite, Ellie and soni served our drinks on the bar, quick service and also very friendly and happy faces all round, great atmosphere, amazing service! And the new menu looks soo good that I’m coming back again soon to try the new sticky pig burger ?

Excellent! Home made food of quality. Sauces were excellent, well balanced and everything stays warm because the dishes they come on are hot! It’s great! Something I appreciate. These guys use good ingredients. I haven’t tasted steamed long grain rice of this quality in an Indian restaurant, in any restaurant.
Staff are friendly, å little shy but sener very willing to tell you about the pictures on the wall and make sure your meal and evening is as it should be. I came back a couple of times in my 1week stay! Why go somewhere else when you know this is good!

Really good ambiance, friendly, polite and courteous staff coupled with lovely food made our visit an absolute pleasure.

Elote Tacos

The food is phenomenal. We have never had a bad experience with the food, having tried nearly every vegetarian option now. It is a bit pricey, but the quality is absolutely worth it.

The salsa and guacamole starters could do with more tortilla chips included, but an extra order of them is only £2 so we just did that so as not to waste the deliciousness.

The service can sometimes be a little inattentive at times but the team as a whole seems to be conscious and the cooks will call on service when they need a nudge. We will absolutely be back, though.

Dr Foster - Pub & Restaurant

First time visit, I'll be back. Good food, good people. It was a very quiet evening so hard to comment on the atmosphere, but the premises and people were great. Dog friendly too.

Rose & Crown Village Pub (Eat-Sleep-Drink-Takeaway)

After dropping a car off at the garage in Bromsberrow we spotted the blackboard advertising the pub and thought we’d try it. Staff were so friendly and helpful- we caught the last of the evening sun in the garden and came inside for our meal. We were very comfortable in the surroundings and 3 clean plates showed we enjoyed the food such a variety of choices to make the meal just as we wanted. Thank you. We will be back.

Lovely food and really good customer service. We had not booked, but despite being busy with Christmas groups, we were given a table - thank you very much.\nDue to being busy with the pre-booked Christmas parties, there was a little wait for our starters - our server came over and apologised and offered us a complimentary cocktail by way of apology. Really really kind and greatly appreciated!\nFood we had was: prawns, chicken strips, burata pasta and salmon on pesto risotto - all dishes were lovely.\nThe complimentary cocktail I had was the Lemon drizzle Martini - OMG! Absolutely to die for!\nWe will definitely return

Ive been here a few times now and all the staff have been really lovely and friendly. Cant thank the staff enough for making me up a delicious pizza, even though the kitchen had closed (as they were finishing up making a few others) id had a hard day's work and not had time to eat, their generosity made my day ☺️

We just visited here for bottomless pancakes and we’re very very pleased. The portion sizes are brilliant and the way they were plated was immaculate. We were lucky enough to have a wonderful waitress (Chloe) who also provided speedy and efficient service, Chloe was friendly and bubbly and made us feel very welcomed.

This was banging..simply a delicacy. The portions? Generous..the taste? delicious
the ambience? fabulous! In conclusion the whole thing was stupendous!!
The only thing I didn’t like was the mac and cheese..but everything else was scrumptious!

A big group of us went out and we were served at the bar by Tilly who was quick, efficient and funny!
We all had something to eat and nothing was too much trouble for Ed! Very attentive!

I used to come to this pub a couple of years ago and decided not to come back due to Lee and Vicky. Come back in to give it a go, and what a place! Amazing food cheapest pint in the area! Just an all round fantastic. Can’t beat there steaks!! Thanks to Phil and Kym. Get this word out there!!

Often use the drive thru with my elderly mum who loves a Mac D. Late mornings we usually get served by a lovely lady who is always helpful, efficient and multi tasking, I don't know how she does it. Rare to find someone who has time to exchange a few cheery words during a busy job but it makes all the difference. Never fails to offer great service. This one member of staff makes us select this branch over others. I hope she gets recognised for her hard work because working in Mac D's is a tough job, I know because I worked in one of their first UK branches back in the day!

Black Horse Inn

Visited for lunch during the week..just what you would want from a country pub. Super pint of Hook, 3 lovely meals all served by friendly staff. We booked but it wasn't necessary, dog friendly which is always a win in my book.

The Butchers Arms

Randomly stumbled on this great little pub online. Just visited for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We were greeted by very friendly staff. The venue is lovely and full of character.

The food was amazing and very tasty. The staff were all very attentive and quick to bring food out and check if anything else was required.

We will be back for sure.

Portivo Lounge

Excellent food and drink, charming and polite staff and the best Tuna Melt sandwich I have had in a while ps 4 and not 5 stars for atmosphere, purely because I was there at 4pm on a mid-September afternoon and the restaurant, unsurprisingly, was rather empty. I am sure this place has a great atmosphere at the usual times.

Imperial Inn

Visited Gloucester today to see the anti violence sculpture at the Cathedral and happened upon this little gem. Ollie and Tom are very welcoming and are bursting with passion and ideas for the future of the pub. Today was the first day they opened their doors after taking over and we cannot wait to return and experience the venue once they've settled. Good luck gents!

Hare & Hounds

Great pub. They have just got in a new chef 01/26 and the food has improved A LOT. I had the beef burger this week and it was cooked perfectly. Juicy and well seasoned. The Guinness is always good and the San Miguel is the best around. Staff are brilliant and you get a nice mix of people.

Kokoro Gloucester

It's a cozy place that's always warm and the food is great. Definitely recommend this for both eating alone and with friends. The sweet and sour chicken is perfect

One star on food because I didn't have any. Service was what I would expect one bar staff gave exceptional service. Atmosphere was lively but I definitely got the impression it had some idiots in the place that night. The Linden Tree pub

Don't have any photos, only went in for a couple pints after a day out. But the staff were very friendly and there was plenty of space inside, smoking area is large and easy to access.

The plough inn Gloucester

A lovely, charming pub with a big yard with tents and picnic tables. Family and dog friendly. Had a fantastic Sunday roast (make reservation) with tender sirloin beef and all the accompaniments. Absolutely delicious. Onion rings excellent too. Lots of other menus items and a cream tea available. Full bar. Server Alex very efficient and personable. A most pleasant experience and reasonably priced.

Stylish decor, Great food, amazing friendly staff and promoting such a worthy cause. I love my weekly trips here to eat, laugh and connect. Would totally reccomend both as a place to get a bite to eat or as a venue to hire out for events.Kid-friendliness: My daughter loves coming and they make her feel really welcome.

My first time at pepes, and it was a brilliant experience the food was great! Tassawar The guy who served me greeted me very politely and it was great experience. I certainly will spending my money here more frequently! If you’ve never had a pepes I suggest you get your bum down there!

CLEAN, friendly, good customer service, relaxing decor, GREAT outdoor space & AMAZING brownies/cakes selection. I have now been here 3 times and it has not failed to impress me, yet again. CaterCater Ltd

The fantastic team at CaterCater took such great care of us at our wedding. We had their BBQ option and it was so perfect, we had so many guests gush over the food! We had a tasting session beforehand which gave us time to tailor the menu to what we wanted, even including tweaks to match our tastes! Highly recommend their services, we were wonderfully fed and catered for!

Ye Olde Restaurant & Fish Shoppe

The best sit down fish & chips with homemade tartare sauce and mushy peas I’ve ever enjoyed.The meal with Stroud Budding IPA was sweet. Friendly staff.
It’s not just a fish & chip shop, it has an upstairs restaurant with calming music and a great atmosphere!

Food was absolutely amazing. So full of flavour and at a very reasonable price. Staff super lovely. I was only visiting for the night but if I lived in Gloucester it would be my go to.

Chinese Kitchen

Can't say much on atmosphere as it's a takeaway! But the staff are lovely. And the food is amazing! I had the chicken with chestnuts and bamboo; which came with carrots and courgette. Cooked to perfection ? Singapore vermicelli isn't for everyone as it has a bit of a kick. I normally ask them to remove the prawns as taste like chlorine, but I forgot- and it was the best vermicelli I've had in years with tasty, fresh prawns! I'd highly recommend based on what I had.

Love visiting this branch because of the warm welcome we always receive. The staff are an asset to the company—always kind, polite, and friendly, even when under pressure. I recently took the time to email head office about the staff here because of the exceptional level of service they provide.

AMAZING food, such a good price! Proper authentic, also incredible vegan range, go in and ask for more options (still loads on the website too) also their website is down atm! So ring up to order!! The orders aren’t going through to them atm but don’t let that put you off! Amazing thank you

Baburchi Cuisine

Fantastic Food, the naan breads are top notch. Good prices too. I only gave 3 stars for service because the young woman serving failed to say the plates were very hot, so myself and another member of our group got scolded. Atmosphere is fine, there seemed to be an odd smell every now an then which reminded me of drains. Overall for the price and food quality I'd recommend it. It's also BYOB (Bring your own Booze) and there are shops nearby to get some. Parking is a bit hit and miss, so if you can't park out of the front, you may have to find parking in the business estate. That'll only take you 2 minutes or so to walk to and from.

Brimble's Cafe

The pistachio slice and coffee was excellent but I need to come back 15 more times to sample the other cakes and food to be sure they deserve 5 stars. Is that petty? Well it won't be a chore because the vibe is good and as others say, service and smiles are too.

The Royal Exchange

10 out of 10.
My partner and I wanted to eat out this afternoon and it being Mothers Day thought we had no chance of getting anywhere ad hoc. We googled some nearby country pubs and came across The Royal Exchange.
Car park looked a bit full but we entered anyway and were immediately greeted with a really friendly hello from the bar lady with a nice smile.

We asked if they had any free tables for 2 and she did her utmost to find us something, within 5 minutes we were seated. We chose the Pork Belly and Hereford Beef and all was cooked to absolute perfection. Drinks were brought very promptly.

I didn't have any doubts that the food would be good but I find British service sorely lacking these days - however I was blown away by how attentive, polite and professional the waiting team were and how welcome we were made to feel.

Another really lovely touch was the lady who brought us a Mothers Day daffodil which just made the experience stand out that little bit more.

Your team are an absolute credit and whoever trains them deserves a pay rise too!

Amazing toasties of all sorts of variety! Delicious, hot and deep-filled. A great lunchtime option for Gloucester. 2 minutes walk from Gloucester Quays and only 15 minutes from the city centre. Can thoroughly recommend the Swedish and the Hunters Chicken toasties.

The Monk's Kitchen Cafe @ Gloucester Cathedral

Afternoon tea was amazing. Great choice of fillings for big, tasty sandwiches ( Stilton, walnut and cranberry, and chicken and bacon), home baked sweet treats ( scones, cream and jams, mocha loaf, and lime courgette cake), quiche and a big pot of tea, each.
The service was phenomenal. So friendly and chatty, I wanted them to pull a chair to join us haha. Tuesday pm was quiet and maybe some church or classical music would have boosted the atmosphere to a five, rather than silence when we were eating.
Cleanliness was spot on too. Looking forward to going back. Diolch!

The Roastery

I’ve eaten here on a number of occasions - lunch with friends, after passing my driving test, and brunch with my sister! Every time this place has not disappointed, with the most amazing food and drinks, a cute cosy atmosphere, and affordable prices.
I recently had a sausage roll with 2 side salads which was the perfect combination and portion size for lunch. All the food has been delicious and great quality, the staff are friendly and the room feels welcoming with WiFi, art, and local businesses selling their products too. Will definitely be coming back again!

The Pelican Inn (Wye Valley)

Wonderful, fascinating, cosy, olde worlde venue, a hidden treasure, lovely selection of local ales & ciders. Cheese and onion rolls available and my partner rated them as fantastic. Would definitely visit again

England's Glory

England's Glory has been transformed since it was taken over and refurbished in 2023. The place looks fantastic – freshly painted outside, nicely decorated inside, and always spotlessly clean. It's got a proper, cosy pub feel with a log fire and plenty of comfy seating.

The staff are the real highlight here. Bob and Holly are always welcoming and up for a chat, and the rest of the team are just as friendly. It's the kind of place where you feel like a regular even on your first visit.

The beer is always well-kept, with Wye Valley's Butty Bach as a regular and usually a guest ale on tap. There's loads going on too – live music on weekends, a skittle alley, pool table, darts, and a quiz a couple of times a week. They've also got a nice beer garden for sunny days and are dog-friendly outside.

They do food as well, with generous portions of freshly prepared home-cooked meals at reasonable prices. A great all-rounder.

The Drunken Duck

Great small pub. Enjoyed some good conversation. They were planning on hosting an album night (spin some LP’s). Wish we could have gone. Stop by there if you get a chance.

Oscar's Grill

Best kebab ever! The workers are so friendly and generous with the food. Everytime you eat here you know you’re going to bed with your belly full! Amazing, highly reccomend! :D

Sebz

Lovely to return after a few years (we used to live nearby). A nice varied tapas-style menu with options for everyone. Friendly service, nice vibe and plenty of personal service. I feel sad that Sebz is stuck in a not very nice part of town; however it's well worth a visit and once you're inside you will have a great experience!

Ogdens Freshly Prepared Hot & Cold Food

Telephoned my order through for pick up, was being prepared when I arrived. I had the Coronation Chicken baguette and my partner had a sausage and Egg bap. Cannot fault the food the baguette was full with salad and filling with a side of coleslaw which was lovely. Definitely worth the money. Gentlemen that served me was friendly very bubbly. Great having this on the doorstep, we are definitely going back again.

Caffe Corretto

Great place to have a drink and chill out and watch the world go by. Good atmosphere and friendly. I can't comment on the food as I didn't have any, but it looked amazing.

We always go here before a game- think its a steakhouse, always busy, good beer on taps and their cheesy chips are unbelievably and consistantly hot like molten lava?

We had a great GLUTEN FREE fish & chips and it was well cooked with crispy batter and the chips were freshly cooked, excellent ! As my wife is a coeliac it’s our little treat, and next week I’m going to spoil her and buy her a new vacuum cleaner ! ?

Great family friendly little cafe with a good selection of hot food, I had a nice vege fry up. They have children's play equipment and books so ideal for toddlers

Pizza Pizza

I recently ordered from Pizza Pizza, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! The ordering process was quick and easy, and the staff was friendly and efficient.

One thing that really stood out to me was how clean and well-maintained the place is. Even as a takeaway spot, they clearly prioritize hygiene and cleanliness, which is something I really appreciate.

When I picked up my order, the pizza was fresh and hot, and the aroma alone had me excited. The crust was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, yet soft and fluffy on the inside. The toppings were generous and bursting with flavor, clearly made with top-quality ingredients.

Despite being a takeaway, the pizza tasted like it was straight out of a high-end pizzeria. Pizza Pizza has definitely become my go-to spot for a great pizza night at home.

If you’re looking for delicious takeaway pizza from a clean and well-run establishment, I highly recommend giving Pizza Pizza a try. You won't regret it!

Love the food here. The only big issue is, they always forget the drinks! This restaurant uses their own drivers. My latest order - again was missing the drink. I told the driver the drink was missing, the driver said “I will come back with your drink” I’m still waiting… I may have to find a different kebab shop.

The Ridge & Furrow

I recently held my husband's wake here, Kelly and her staff were very attentive and empathetic, the food was excellent value and there was plenty of it, it was a very sad day for me but Kelly and her team did our family proud , thank you so much

The staff are amazing and very welcoming everytime I visit this venue. The food is always tasty and very nicely presented. There is definitely something for everybody on the menu so, Give the CONCORDE CAFE try peeps, Gloucester's best breakfast venue by far.

Baker Street

Baker Street is a great spot with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The staff are friendly and always up for a chat, and the place has a nice mix of locals and visitors. Drinks are well priced, the food is tasty, and the atmosphere in the evenings is lively but never too loud. It’s the kind of place where you can grab a drink, catch some live music or just chill with friends. Clean, cosy and full of character – definitely worth stopping by.

Cross Keys Inn

Stumbled upon the Cross Keys yesterday afternoon, met friends from Bristol, we were in Gloucester from Wolverhampton, and we heard Northern Soul playing from the street, so went in for a pint. Ended up staying for a few hours, the music was great, and then it turned into an 80s disco. The place filled out and everyone was dancing. Absolutely great fun, great atmosphere, lovely landlady. Will definitely return if we're ever in Gloucester again!

Good atmosphere, The DJ on Friday was brilliant going though the decades 60's to the 80's...

To the bar staff, even tho there were two of you... You did your best. And the customers help too by bringing the glasses to the washer bay.
Please make sure the disabled toilet is cleaned more often.

Saeed Balti House

What an excellent place to eat. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, who made sure we were comfortable and knew what we were doing.

And the food… the portions are generous (we came home with leftovers and we never come home with leftovers!!!!), the sauces that went with the poppadoms alone were a treat. I had the chicken korma which was smooth and sooo tasty and the pashwari naan bread which was the absolute highlight for me - so well made and tasty.

Then the bill came.. and it was so competitively priced for the quality of food and service.

We’ve lived in the area for almost 2 years and now our biggest regret is not trying this restaurant earlier!

The Glevum Inn

Great local boozer. Louise & the guys made us all feel really welcome whilst we stayed locally for Cheltenham Festival. Highly recommend if you want an easy atmosphere while you have a game of pool and watch the football (which was played on 3 or 4 screens).

Mermaid Fish & Chips

Delivery was very fast, about 25 minutes, which is impressive on a Friday. Food was really nice. Cod- crispy and golden batter, cod was tender and flaky.
Chips- well cooked, golden, fresh (not stale like some places tend to be) Portion sizes were generous too and it was good value for money.
Would recommend and will definitely use again.

Kingsholm Inn
