Pensioner portions are very generous. Fabulous fish and chips. Having a seat in the cafe to eat it is so much better as it's really hot and fresh. The cafe is no frills but very clean.

For once a review with no negatives.From the warm friendly greeting this wonderful chip shop is faultless.Immaculately clean thru out including the toilets.We had two large cod's with small chips and teas,I can honestly say the best I can ever remember (I am 60).I always put a negative down this time nothing to do with the business,car parking is limited during the wet months in lechlade.Would recommend whole heartedlyWheelchair accessibility: Are grandson has learning difficulties, they were marvellous with him.

Always a great meal, fish freshly cooked. Chicken kebab is massive and great value for money, lovely plaice, nice chicken burger with salad and always good chips. They even do a cheeky battered mars bar!

Drove there this evening (Thursday 4 Jan 2024) at 19hrs through pouring rain and flooded roads. Although their website states they would be ‘Open’ until 21:00 they were ‘Closed’ ! So disappointed!!!!

Bought a chicken kebab. In with the chicken kebab were pieces of uncooked chicken skin. Disgusting, it made me want to throw up. Vile, won't be going back there.

We were just passing through Lechlade and looking for a takeaway lunch and saw Monica’s Plaice on the High Street. We ordered the fish and chips and were delighted to see they were freshly cooked to order. The quality was excellent, the price was on par for The Cotswolds and the service was efficient. They also have a restaurant if you want to sit in - it closes at 1.30pm at lunchtime and the takeaway closes at 2pm. It is well worth the visit!

After a damp drizzly drive we pulled into Lechlade, a bit hungry. The wife saw that Monica's was open and said let's have fish and chips. We sat inside and ordered, the food came out in good time. Nice sized portions, the kids fish and chips were perfect for our 6 year old, and sausage and chips were just right for our 2 year old. I had haddock and chips with curry sauce and my wife had cod and chips with mushy peas. All of it was brilliant, nice and tasty. We'll definitely be going back next time we're down there, nice little fish bar and very friendly
