Starting each day with a slice or two of toast from a Sourdough Revolution loaf is one of life’s simple pleasures. Pair it with an egg for breakfast if you must, but this bread alone will bring a smile to your face and you’ll be ready to face the day. This is medicine for the

A sandwich I will be thinking about for months. Masterpieces.Edit: it's months later. Still thinking about it. Told a mate to take a date here, he didn't, they aren't together any more, if he had, they'd be engaged.

We had to write a review because we have just eaten the best sourdough of our lives. We have owned cafes and have sourced bread, we’ve tasted lots, so giving this compliment is huge. To the bakers, you guys are doing a fantastic service, we just wish you were closerHappy Christmas and hope you hang up your aprons for a much deserved break

Thank you so much to everyone at Sourdough Revolution for the amazing pizza at my daughter’s 4th birthday party. Everyone loved it and people are still asking us now where it was from ?. Thank you for contributing towards a very special event for us ?

Went in to buy something to eat, and went to pay with cash. Only to be told they are card only. I explained my bank card had expired, and I had the exact amount of cash on me to pay for the food. The response I got was an abrupt and rude, tough! No card no purchase! I certainly won't be returning. Cash is king!

? Awful which is saying something as it used to be so good. No options for lunch apart from the soup or cold food on offer on the counter (we did ask if it could be heated up but sadly not). Apparently the Christmas Sandwich and Ham and Cheese toastie were not available so soup it was! Asked the young lad if it came with sourdough bread which he said it did and so we sat down and awaited our soup and my friends bun and hot chocolate. Once served we waited and waited for the bread to arrive but as the lad had now decided it was a good opportunity to check his mobile, eat his lunch and keep playing Oasis on loop we had to actually go ask for it. Sorry my mistake he said it is £1.50 extra if you want a slice of bread! Beggars belief when the soup is £6 a pop to start with and was very salty as well. We left very disappointed, a young girl mopping the floor ready to close and the young lad having yet again to be prompted to serve my friend the Lardie cake she had paid for upon arrival. Seriously sort yourselves out this is a complete turnaround from the fab place you used to have. Seems like you are just trading on your previous good reputation and just don’t care anymore. Having said that I am guessing the sourdough bread is still great but sorry was not prepared to pay £1.50 for a slice so cannot confirm!

Echo another review on here, what has happened? SR used to be my go-to with friends and family but the last 3/4 times I’ve been I wish I hadn’t. The menu is so small if existent at all and what there is is often sold out, even when visiting early in the morning. Their bread is honestly delicious but I think I’ll be buying that and leaving from now.

Fresh, tasty, home cooked & freshly baked food. Nice cafe, friendly staff and good choice of lunch or breakfast dishes. Recommend the red pepper & carrot soup or chickpea and sun dried tomato/ bean salad. Great choice for lunch on long weekends away or walking through Lechlade on Thames.

The sourdough is great, however every time I decide to sit down for a coffee I always regret it as it takes minimum 20 minutes, they always need prompting and usually deliver the wrong thing despite it never being that busy. I went there today with my toddler and was frustrated to see the waitress serve the people who came in after me first, despite me reminding her of my order and wanting a quick coffee. At least the coffee is nice and my children enjoy playing with the toys, but we will be avoiding in future due to poor service.

Spent 2 days in Lechlade for a wedding and ended up skipping breakfast at my hotel to eat here instead. Staff and owner are fantastic and friendly and the food is actually delicious using fresh produce for everything. Had bacon and egg sandwiches which are possibly the best I’ve ever had and they make fresh pizza everyday as well which we actually took with us for the next step of our journey. When you visit this is an absolute must!

The Moroccan Evening (11/08/23)was an amazing success, it was a taste extravaganza with the most succulent and delicious chicken we have ever eaten. The food was beautifully prepared and plentiful, the service excellent and atmosphere great. Thank you to the chef Don for a superb gastronomic experience!

A great local bakery serving delicious food, I always love to pop in and see what is on offer. The menu changes regularly, their sourdough is always tasty and we love their pizza nights and pop up offers.

Used to love this place and travelled far for it, however sadly it seems to be having an identity crisis. Went in just before 9am and the only food on the counter was a very sad looking bowl of carrots. I asked when they serve food and I was told they'd have to ask the chef if he was doing anything. Last time I went there was a menu with delicious BLTs amongst other things so this surprised me. Was a very strange atmosphere like the staff weren't happy to be there or were embarrassed that people kept coming in asking about food and leaving again. Even the website doesn't seem to exiat anymore. The coffee was at least still good! I went across the road to get some breakfast and the experience couldn't have been more different. I really hope this is just a blip as it used to be one of my favourite places!

This is a place which could be so much better, in fact it used to be really good with a great vibe. Now the counter top ‘spreads’ are gone by lunch, the ‘menu’ which was amazing (Katsu burger I’m looking at you!) then only reduced to ‘sourdough’ based items is now gone completely, unless you want a BLT or B (Bacon sandwich) The pizzas are so hit and miss it’s barely worth the risk for the price. The only last bastion is coffee, but with the bare minimum on offer, it isn’t worth the trip (from someone who lives in Lechlade). Yours, a sad regular.
