A good hotel in the pretty village of Blockley. Spacious room in separate building just across from reception. Excellent, friendly service. Good bar and food. Would recommend the Sri Lankan curry.Rooms: Spacious twin room in separate building. Really good shower!Food & drinks: Good standard pub food. Excellent chips!Noteworthy details: A very friendly pub and delightful hosts.Be aware that access to the car park is up a very steep slope.

What happened to Crown Hotel Blockley??? It needs an uplifting. Looks like it needs a change to invite the locals.

Thank you for such a warm and welcoming stay at The Crown!My wife and I and our friends loved staying and will be back again to stay at the Crown Hotel as our base to explore more of the Cotswolds!The village is so beautiful as well. Look out for the ‘Wet Road’ very unusual!Best Wishes,Jon

This hotel is lovely. We stayed in a room with a four poster bed which was very comfortable. The room was a good size with excellent facilities and the whole hotel is typical of the area. The owners are very friendly, polite and very accommodating. If you need a taxi get a number from reception as Uber do not service this area. My only criticism is the access to the car park which is through an archway that was designed for horses and carts centuries ago. With local residents parked opposite it can be very difficult to get in and as our car is large and long I had to reverse up the a steep ramp to the car park.

Charming old hotel in beautiful Cotswolds village. Management is very helpful and attentive. I would have given 5 stars but due to the great age and character of the hotel it would not suit some. Floorboards creak windows are rustic and there are many steps to negotiate. So if a modern Premier is your thing stay away. Personally I loved it. You will not be disappointed.Noteworthy details: Character history character.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Crown Hotel. The owners were wonderful, and so kind! Great food and cold beer in the pub, and an overall cozy atmosphere. If you're traveling in the Cotswolds, be sure to book a night or two here!

3 star dog friendly Hotel (£15 per night for your dog) with 5 star staff, food and location.Room 7 was a good size for a couple and a dog. It was clean and felt freshly decorated. Very warm with a comfy bed and strong shower.Staff were fantastic - courteous, professional and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The owners struck gold when they were all brought on board.Dinners were lovely. Best steak we've had for a long while and we loved the Sri Lankan options.Full English breakfast was plentiful and great quality. There could have been a little more choice for the continental breakfast.Blockley is a lovely Cotswolds village, 3 miles from Moreton on Marsh, best known for having Father Brown's Church in its centre.Rooms: Great size, very warm and fresh decor.Nearby activities: Bathford Aboretum and Batsford Falconry Centre.Food & drinks: Freshly prepared meals which were great.Noteworthy details: The staff made our stay. They were wonderful.
