Trevor and Sam are the new wonderful and welcoming owners of the Railway Inn and Tandoori. Our party of around 25 had the most amazing selection of really superb starters and curries in the restaurant, followed by a relaxing time in the cosy traditional bar, with lovely log fires, below. (Now watching out for the monthly music nights too!)

This is our go to for a takeaway curry and it’s arguably the best one! We have throughly enjoyed every meal from here and we are particularly impressed that they offer paneer as an option in most (if not all?) of their curries which is great for me as a vegetarian who doesn’t always want the vegetable curry option. Everything is always spot on. ?

Six friends, two of us new to the area said we’d give The Railway a bash. Firstly, what a lovely warm welcome. So friendly and accommodating. Drinks were offered to be taken upstairs but we declined (nice gesture). The restaurant itself is warm and cosy, easily sets a good vibe. The lady who owns the restaurant and who took our order couldn’t have been more helpful. Attentive, witty, informative. We ordered lots, and I mean lots, curious to come away with a well rounded opinion of our first outing. All dishes were great, a few stand out fantastic but I’ll let you discover for yourselves. At last a proper curry restaurant that’s not 15 miles away! Absolutely 100% recommended. Go discover!!

Literally just had dinner from here, takeaway, and it was absolutely beautiful. The comments about ‘best Indian ever’ are spot on.The order was delivered promptly and the driver, in his box style car, was friendly and polite.I wish this was my local Indian. We might pop in to the pub itself tomorrow for a meal.

Recently opened for dine in and takeaway. Varied menu, reasonably priced with friendly staff. We'll worth visiting but probably best to book. There is a delivery service available and they do take cards.Give it a try ?

Lovely pub. Great landlady and punters and a decent choice of beer and cider

First time I ordered from the Railway Tandoori on New Year's Eve, the food was of excellent quality, will definitely be ordering again.

Fantastic food, fantastic hospitality and always accommodating! A truly good experience and an asset to the local community.

3.5 hours for a delivery is not acceptable in anyones books. Why take orders if you can’t fill them? Definitely won’t be ordering from here ever again.
All the reviews relating to the Indian restaurant are nothing to do with this pub. The Railway Tandoori was a completely separate business which has relocated so this is false advertising

My wife and I was celebrating our honeymoon. We visited the railway tandoori as a treat. We blown away with quality food and service. The food was absolutely first class. Anyone visiting the area must go and have dinner. We will be back. Trevor and Samantha thank you so much for such a wonderful evening. 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First Class...Just had my order delivered promptly to my house. I'd like to say that the food was great but I can't - it was amazing. Quite possibly the best Indian food I have ever had for sure. Thank you Railway Tandoori. Me and my wife and children really enjoyed our food. Please pass on my compliments to your chef.

Ordered takeaway, took 90 minutes to arrive with correct receipt attached to wrong bag of food, advised it was kitchen mistake with fresh food being cooked and sent immediately but still took 45 minutes. Not first time this has happened but never an entire order, usually odd bit missing we ignore as food good but tonight unacceptable. Advise check order on delivery.

Excellent food, everything fresh and tasty, brilliant idea having it above a pub ? definitely return whenever we are in the area. Wouldn’t have known it was there without google. Pleasant owner and staff, very friendly locals with a good atmosphere upstairs and down, highly recommend ??? all the best for the future, from the yam yams ??
