We went here for Sunday lunch. We thought it was a little on the pricey side. That's the old adage goes, you get what you pay for and we certainly did. I had no spare tables when we first arrived, but The lady who was dealing with us managed to find a table for two. It had armchairs rather than dining chairs but we were just happy to be accommodated. Took a while to get served, but they were extremely busy and as I say there wasn't a spare table available. So, a relatively quiet night. Lovely pub can imagine when busy it has a really good vibe. The food was absolutely fantastic, but the portions are far too big. I would have paid the same for smaller portions. Cannot fault the service genuinely polite and friendly staff even after the waitress spilt two pints on us. She was mortified. The sweetest country pub, lovely atmosphere and great food! You definitely get quality and taste in this beautiful pub, we only stopped in for a quick lunch but definitely going back for some puddings! They look amazing!
